This is a rustic lodge in the African bush with excellent views, during the day, on a nearby waterhole.Although there is no electricity for general use you still have the limited availability of Wi Fi and battery charging for the cameras. The absence of main electricity makes your adventure even better and unforgettable during the evenings. There is a small...

Umlani is an nice unfenced camp, with large amounts of animals around. The morning and afternoon game drives shows many of them, when you are Lucky even the Big Five. But also the varity and quality of the food will surprise you. For us one of the best Bush lodges.

The absolutely best part of our holiday in South Africa were the 3 days that we spent in Umlani Bush Camp in the Timbavati Game Park. The camp, consisting of 8 guest huts plus a handful of general purpose huts, has a very special atmosphere, particularly after dark, in harmony with the surroundings. The staff is both very capable and...

We spent 5 days at Umlani this spring (2015) during our three-week honeymoon in South Africa. We are both in our 40s, Americans, have extensive travel experience, and love to travel! We've stayed in $5 dives and 5 star places around the world and Umlani was right up there at the top of our all time favorite spots. We're not...

Umlani was my first stop in a 15-day trip through the Timbavati and Klaserie on my first trip to South Africa. I spent three days here, which was the perfect amount of time - I learned some of the main locations in the traversing area without feeling like we kept going to the same spots. One of the things that...

Ease - they handled every detail and made everything perfect for their guests...from the food, to the bungalows, to the open bar with animal watching, to the overall welcoming vibe they were amazing. We were greeted by Thembe, who showed us round, and informed of us 'camp rules' and the general run of each day.
