Highly Recommended! To sit in an open Landrover in the amazing Timbavati bush, surrounded by a herd of elephants interacting with each other and seemingly oblivious to our presence, was an unbelievable experience. Our five days (March 27 to 31) at Kambaku Safari Lodge provided many close encounters with wild animals which we feel privileged to have experienced and will...

It touches my heart to read that your encounters with the animals made such a deep impression on you - that is a wonderful tribute to our guide and tracker and the way they handle game drives and...

We arrived mid afternoon at this remote lodge which is c 42km from the main Hoedspruit road. We stayed for 2 nights and took two afternoon safaris and a morning safari, and thanks to our excellent ranger Gideon, and tracker, Eric, we were lucky to see a leopard and lion on our first safari, a family of hyenas, several herds...

Thank you for the lovely review - happy to hear that even though you were only with us for 2 nights you managed to see an amazing amount of animals. We are currently looking into the lighting situation as it is rather challenging having only solar power - however we know that it can be a little dark at times.

For just a short 2-day stay with four game drives I saw an extraordinary number of animals. I loved the small, family-run atmosphere of Kambaku. I always felt safe and think the game drive experience was much inhanced by all the information provided by Ranger Nic.

I went to South Africa solo in March 2017 for a breather from a ton of stress I was facing at home. I fell in love with this lodge. It's in the middle of the African bush, but utilities are comparable to any hotel. There is no AC, but the rooms feel comfortable with the fans and they are clean....

Great Lodge strategically located in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. I stayed in the Honeymoon suite and I definitely recommend it.. it has lots of privacy and fantastic view of the waterhole. Meals were phenomenal, high tea impressively singular and I will never forget that dinner.. lit by an african full moon and entertained by a thirsty hyena adventuring towards...

From the moment we arrived all the staff went above and beyond for us especially Ryno our tour guide for the 3 days. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and good fun. Eric our tracker was also unbelievable. The set up is really homely with all guests sharing communal breakfast and dinner which normally wouldn't be my bag but it seemed...

We were recommended to stay here and since it was not one of the most expensive lodges, we were a little unsure of what to find. Our transfer from the airport was late and we were the last to be collected, but once we arrived at Kambaku itself we were greeted warmly and with consideration regarding the distance travelled. Lodges...
