What a great place to stay. The lodge is well maintained and the staff is wonderful. Mike and Thomas did everything to give us spectacular gamedrives, and they succeeded. We saw so many species. The bushwalk was a different kind of safari and a great way to experience the bush.
Konny & Thomas: think you so much for making my stay just so amazing! Loved every Single Part of it. Food, bushwalks, Safari drives and all your Knowledge! It has been so amazing! Hopefully I will be back one day!
My sister and I spent two nights and we would have loved to stay longer. The lodge is really nice because it is intimate, there are not a lot of guest and you have some really good place to relax and chat with others. The food was absolutely delicious (we are still very much shocked that we had such amazing meals in the middle of a reserve!!). The room are very comfortable. Big big thanks to Craig and Jon for the bush walk and the game drive, it was fantastic and we got really lucky. We will always remember our first night: Craig: "Okay so do you want to go have a look at those two lions we heard of? Or do you want to have wine and beers first?" Us: "Well, definitely the lions!! But if we can drink wine and watch the lions, that would be perfect!" We were joking, but guess what happened? In the end we watched about 4 beautiful male lions while drinking our wine!! Truly incredible. Thanks again to our guide Craig, we really appreciated your kindness and you have a very inspiring energy, with a lot of wisdom to share.…
We had three different safari stays during our round trip in SA but we enjoyed the stay at Africa on Foot Camp for three nights total by far the most! It is a lovely little camp, very cozy common area and a nice plunge pool. We were very lucky to be the only guests for a whole day and besides private game drives even received a lovely candlelight dinner by the boma fire. During our whole stay the food was very delicious and there was a good selection of drinks in the bar fridge for cheap prices (from a German point of view ;) ). The guides JD, Craig and Thomas were very friendly and we could notice every day how much they enjoyed their job and still got excited when there was a great animal sighting. :) It is nice that in the Klaserie reserve there are only three lodges so you usually do not run into other vehicles on game drives often. We saw many lions there, even lion cubs and a lot of other interesting animals. Even if there were not many sightings on a game drive, the guides still made it interesting with information about birds, plants and more. It is also very cool to be able to do bush walks every morning - totally a special experience. We definitely recommend booking the tree house for one night - completely amazing experience! I would love to come back some day and will definitely recommend the camp to everyone.…
We enjoyed to morning walks and the rustic feel of the camp. The staff were friendly and great to be around. The interns assisted with bird watching and we did manage to see the African Scops owl in the camp. The staff were receptive to the interests of the group, so we looked for birds and insects. Our best sighting, among many good sightings, was see a lion roar. A special effort was made on Christmas day. The food was varied and delicious. My son and his wife enjoyed sleeping in the treehouse and swimming in the pool. I would recommend this place to both local and international travelers. This was an unique bush experience.
My wife and I spent two nights in a room which was very cozy and located next to the wilds. We enjoyed taking showers outside whilst being so close to the nature. The food was exceptionally good: The healthy breakfast was the perfect preparation for the day and we enjoyed lunch and dinner every day. Especially we want to thank you for the unique dinner we had at the pool. The bush walks and drives are very private and we enjoyed it very much, to experience the nature with such small groups. Compared to 'commercial' rides, this is way more exciting. Most importantly we want to thank Jenna, Konrad, Luke and the staff for being such lovely hosts. You made this a stunning experience we will never forget. Best regards Monique and Felix
All the staff were great, it was a small camp and felt homey in a good way. Our room was comfy, the kitchen the best of three camps we experienced. The guide & tracker could not have been better. They gave us a complete experience and their enthusiasm on the game drives was so nice!
We had a lovely stay. The game drives were very exciting and the staff very knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious They even did a special romantic dinner set up to celebrate our honeymoon. We would definitely recommend the place and would love to return.
I had the privilege of staying at Africa on Foot recently, and I will just say that I had the most unforgettable experience! Our guide, Jenna as well as our tracker Conrad, afforded us the most amazing time! From the perfect accommodation to unbelievable sightings in the bush as well as delicious meals, the trip was definitely one for the books! A fantastic team that go out of there way to accommodate your every need and onto of that a fantastic location, I would definitely recommend Africa on Foot to anyone wishing to get a real African bush experience!
We stayed at Africa on Foot for our first safari and it did not disappoint! The camp is very comfortable, the food is amazing and the staff go out of their way to make your trip wonderful. We were lucky enough to have Mauritz and Enoch, and we can't thank them enough for all of the information they shared with us. We stayed at 3 other camps during our time in Africa, and Africa on Foot was by far the best hands down! We can't wait to come back.
