I traveled to Kapama River Lodge this past weekend for my honeymoon! It had been recommended to me by my South African friend and he has traveled to many lodges but Kapama has always been his favorite. I'm very happy I took his recommendation. I'd like to thank Lebo N. & Melanie B. in reservations for answering all of my...

My wife and I were "first timers" at any game reserve and through the help of our travel agent and Lion World Travel, we came to the right place. When we arrived at the airport in Hoedspruit, we were greeted by our safari guide and tracker and shown to our safari vehicle. Our guide said it would be a 3...

We drove from johannasburg and although it's only 455km be warned it will take a good 8 hours with roadworks and low speed limits. We received a warm welcome, and got all the information needed for the stay, safari and meal times ect. The evening game drives were the best, we managed to see the big 5. However the southern part...

A great place to stay and a great Safari. We had two great guides that took us into a special adventure. They showed us very unique animals in their territory. They know exactly how to track the animals and find them. It is better than the Krueger park safari and you can see more animals and much close than the...

The hotel is amazing as it is all the staff! The safari tours are incredible with a lot of adventure - we saw the Big5 and other animals, including a chasing! During the safari there is a break with drinks and snaks to relax. I highly recomend!

We stayed two nights in Kapama, The overall lodge is good, but a bit impersonal. You do share the car for the game, the long corridors make you feel like in an hotel, the restaurant is pretty big. But still a very good experience. Rangers know their jobs, and you can really enjoy the safari.

We stayed 3 nights in early September at the Kapama River Lodge. It was our first safari experience and it exceeded all of our expectations in all areas. We had been advised to visit a private game reserve (like Kapama) rather than a national park (like Kruger) because at a private reserve the rangers can go off-road to track certain...

Sheer luxury regarding accommodation and food and the added excitement of seeing game wild in their own habitat doing what they have done for hundreds of years. We saw the "Big 5" in the first 2 days, so the additional sightings were an absolute bonus. Our game ranger and guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.Little touches eg rusks during the...

Everyone at Kapama wants to pamper you. The room we had was big & comfortable. The morning and evening safaris were great. The ranger & the tracker did their best to find all the animals hiding in the bush. We were thrilled to see lions, elephants, giraffes, and so much more up close. The chef did his best (which was...

Wow, from the moment we arrived we felt so at home. The staff are wonderful and there to help wherever possible (including finding an iPad charger from one of their Rangers for us!) We loved the family spa suite, just beautiful and very spacious for our family of 4. The game drives were nothing short of spectacular. We had JT...
