We were greeted by Kim with her warm smile and with Crescent offering us a refreshing, cold towel after a half hour, bumpy ride from Hoedspruit Airport. We loved it as soon as we jumped aboard the open 4 wheel-drive vehicle. Adrian was amazing to listen to. His stories regarding the Buffalo were very interesting and his early morning walk...

We didnt choose Greenfire but wound up there as a result of weather event. From the first experience our Hosts Kim & Adrian were first rate. They are hand son operators and take a pride in the experience they offer and deliver. The experience extended from the numerous Game drives with Leonard and Sam, where we encountered Black Rhino, angry...

Thank you to our hosts Kim and Adrian for an amazing experience and level of quality, service and warmth we have never experienced in our native country New Zealand. Our guide was a true man of the bush, his knowledge was exceptional and he always answered our often naieve questions with humour and grace. We had close encounters with Lions,...

We were in South Africa for three weeks, this was our first time. Greenfire was the first lodge we stayed at and it was amazing! We loved the food (my husband still talks about it). It was a really good place to experience your first ever safari. We had very high expectations when we left for our second safari lodge....

Not everyone gets to see the Big Five, but we did. We stayed three nights and went on six drives. We had seen four of the five early in the stay and on the last night, were lucky enough to be on the trail and a leopard jumped out of the tree as we were driving by. Also saw a...

Having read previous reviews we were really excitied about our stay at Greenfire, unfortunately we were a little dissapointed. Having stayed at another Lodge 10 days previous which was HALF the price and amazing!!!, we expected really good things at Greenfire, but we felt let down. NO air conditioning made for a very uncomfortabe couple of nights, I would have...

Dear Mandy and Johnny, thank you for reviewing our lodge. I am sorry that the hot weather when you were here impacted negatively on your stay. The design of the roofs is to aid in this regard and the large sliding mesh doors and window screens with mosquito netting are designed to manage the temperatures as well as the insects...

We loved the people, the game drive, the food, the lodge itself... The Managers and their staff made us feeling at home. If you are planning to do Safari in South Africa, that's the place to be!! They are making your wishes come true. We hardly met such open-hearted, nice and helpful people in the past. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

My girlfriend and I only spent one night here but we loved it. Definitely recommend it over the rainbow hotel which we also stayed at. My impression is that budget hotels in this town have the pretence of luxury and all the pomp that goes along with it, while offering sub-par food and facilities. Greenfire offers simple but neat accomodation...

Hi Gideon. Thanks for the positive response but I think that you might be referring to the Greenfire lodge in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and not the Greenfire Game Lodge in the Greater Kruger Park, near Hoedspruit in South Africa. However, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Kind regards, Adrian.

After having spent two night in the SANParks lodge at Satara in Kruger, this private lodge in Balule Game Reserve was quite a nice move up. Not that Satara was not fine, it is just in another league, and of course another price range. Nevertheless we felt very welcome at Greenfire Game Lodge and enjoyed our two nights there. The...

My wife and I had an exceptional time at the GreenFire game lodge at greater Kruger Park. I was a little unsure of what seemed like a lot of money to me but I spent the extra money for a safari lodge like this and have no regrets. The GreenFire lodge was especially amazing, my wife fell in love with...
