Pungwe was the best experience of the African bush i think one can have or imagine. dont be dissuade by the fact that there isnt electricity, because they have all the light and amenities necessary or required: heated showers, lanterns for light. the camp is simple but classy and elegant. the lodge is as authentic as you could imagine, its...

Just returned from my second visit to Pungwe Bush Camp, wow what an improvement. The new luxury tents are so much better than the old canvas walls. I can only think that there is a new kitchen as the food was fantastic. The fantastic game viewing has, however, remained the same.

It was even better than I hoped! We lived in beautiful lodge, big and clean despite very rusty and basic concept of this camp. Staff was very friendly. We got all meals and game drives included in the package. Guides are doing great job to spot & show us the animals. Everything was well organized so you don't need to...

We arrived in the dark for a four day stay. In the chalet everything was lit with paraffin lamps the mosquito net was down, it looked magical. We had trips with Never, wander and Issac, all of whom were informative, and knowledgeable and just nice to be around. The kitchen staff headed up by Robert and Violet were little short of...

Upon arrival took 20 minutes for someone to show up, probably ok as it is quiet place and not...

We had a great stay! The staff took very good care of us, they made you feel safe and the meals were delicious! We also had nice game drives and saw the big five in just one hour. Would recommend to stay here in stead of the Kruger Park. The safari tent is well equipped and nicely decorated!

Pungwe Bush Camp is about as authentic an African safari bush experience as one could ever hope to achieve. The camp itself is set in the remote woodland savannas deep within the private Manyeleti game reserve in the Greater Kruger national park. It is a basic camp with enough luxury to meet your modern day requirements with four large, en-suite,...

We stayed for 2 nights and were the only guests (5) in the camp. The rooms were clean and the service and food average. There were only 5 bottles (500ml) of water and limited cold drinks available, which was a big disappointment in the middle of the December heat. There were no glasses in the rooms to drink water from...

This was the most wonderful stay in South Africa. The service was really good and an unique experience living in this camp. We stayed here two nights and had one night with just 2 other guests and the other night with 4 other guests. The game walks are amazing and also the gamedrive in the afternoon, Isaac and Never are...

Our visit has been a wonderful experience - Morning walks very informative. Game drives exciting and guides were excellent in spotting the animals. Please don't change the rustic and back to nature atmosphere. ( eg - Kettle on the fire under the trees) The small number of guests created a tranquil and intimate atmosphere that is nowhere else to be...

“Don't expect a luxury experience! The booking form said arrive at 12:00, but I got there well before that and had no problem going in early and driving to the camp - even without stops to watch the wildlide its a good 30 minute drive from the gate to the camp The gate to the reserve is adjacent to Kruger's Orpen gate - on the day I left I went into Kruger through Orpen and drove south through the park coming out at Paul Kruger gate, on my way back to Jo'burg - a long drive and a late arrival back at Jo'burg but made the most of my visit. Meals are taken around a single big round table all together with the owner which encourages conversation and sharing of experiences”
