We spent 2 nights at this lodge as part of a G Adventures tour of Southern Africa. The accommodation was in the safari tents which was an interesting experience. On the plus side it was cosy and comfortable in the beds and the exposed-to-the-elements bathroom area was large and spacious with a great shower, the only minor downside was the... More

Shalati Adventure Lodge at Manyeleti South Gate | Hluvukani and Nationaal Park Kruger. It is a good location for game drives and bush walks with Echo Africa Safari's. The guides were excellent. The complex is momentarily extended with beautiful safari tents and a new pool area for exclusive groups. We had to stay in the outdated cottages with the old... More

On a very spontaneous trip to Kruger Park we came across Shalati Adventure Lodge. Me and my friend slept in one of their clean and comfy tented chalets and had a pretty good time. The staff of Shalati Lodge was very helpful and nice. They offered their tours through Shalati Reserve without selling them and gave great advice as we... More

This is a great stop-over. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Will definitely re-visit when I'm in the area again. A great location point to explore the Kruger National Park.

Off the beaten path into Africa. ALL the services and accommodations were wonderful. It has an authentic Bush Camp feel that is mixed Game Lodge. The place is outside the typical overrun tourist destination. We really enjoyed the quiet and peaceful environment. We are so glad to find an original type of place. Once in a lifetime experience. The Staff,... More

Really nice lodge! Very quaint and relaxing! Not too fancy, but quite romantic and simple. Not a lot of guests at one time, so it has a very private feel! Really wonderful! We stayed as a family. It was great and they accommodated us very well! I'd go back for my anniversary next time.

Be prepared for a very rustic adventure if you've booked the Shalati Lodge. For the price that we've paid, it offers exactly what it promises - a fuss-free place to stay in to view the amazingly beautiful animals and birds of the Kruger and Great Kruger National Parks (namely Manyeleti Game Reserve). Other lodges in the Manyeleti Reserve charge more... More

This very basic place is in the middle of the bush, next door to the Manyeleti private game reserve, and linked to the local community. The negatives, as listed in earlier reviews: the chalets are very small (almost completely filled by a double bed), the water can smell terrible. Bring your own. The positives: there's a nice dog. But more... More

I was on a photography tour with G Adventures in May, 2014 and part of this tour was a 3 night stay at this lodge. I stayed at the Shalati lodge for 2 nights, which was really nice. The huts are quite small, but cosy. The camp has a nice lapa where you can enjoy the fire with other guests. The food was good. The staff is friendly and professional.
