Nothing compares to Leopard Hills Lodge! Nothing! From the moment you arrive at the lodge you are greeted and treated like royalty. It was an absolutely sensational Lodge with amazing employees who simply made our stay outstanding! Our guide Johan (Joe) was like a walking encyclopedia. Not only did he and our tracker, Walter find the animals for viewing/experiencing Joe was able to tell you anything and everything you wanted to know about them. We literally saw a minimum of four of the Big 5 (and everything in between) every single day we were there. I cannot begin to explain the feeling of literally becoming one with the animals in the bush! It was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Everything from start to finish defied expectation. The food was delicious and believe me there is a lot of it and it was such an extensive/varied menu and selection. Continental breakfast, morning snack on our game drive with hot cocoa/coffee (with a little added Amarula) full breakfast following morning drive, lunch, afternoon tea with snacks, happy hour on our afternoon game drive (cocktails/snacks), and a lovely dinner overlooking the watering hole. And the views were simply stunning. They provided a special dinner party just for the three of us in a beautiful setting. We had an amazing BOMA experience (Outdoor BBQ) that was one of my favorite culinary experiences/dinners. Everything we ate and drank (The wines were amazing) was perfect. Our room with pool was grand. It had everything you could possibly need. And had a view to die for. The Leopard Hills team even filled our mini bar with all our favorites. The safari game drives were obviously the highlight, but a big part of that experience was the time we shared with our ranger Joe & tracker Walter. They were both fantastic and their love for what they do is what made our drives so special. We missed the wonderful people and lodge the moment we left the property. We will never forget this trip. Go to Leopard Hills if it's the only trip you ever get to take. It is worth every penny and more.

As seasoned bush travellers, this was arguably our best bush experience to date! Summary: 1. Game viewing - incredible sightings (please note this is the bush, its luck of the draw) but with expert guides and remarkable trackers, their ability to find animals produced some of the best sightings we have ever had. 2. Rooms - pure luxury, spacious, comfortable and clean. Wonderful flow from room to beautiful bathrooms and outside shower. Turn down service between activities and bedtime notes - a nice touch. 3. The Food and Beverage - fine dining at its best. All meals were fantastic and the boma dinner was a real feast and highlight - dining under the stars, next to a crackling fire, hyenas whoop in the background - ahh, this is Africa! 4. The people - some of the best people I have encountered - you will feel so welcome and cared for. Right, to the detail: Game: saw just about everything - Big 5, Cheetah (very special) and plenty birds (got my first Coqui Francolin). The area lived up to its reputation. Its luck of the draw, an open system, you get what you get, and it's why I love the Kruger so much. Its the wild. Guide Justin - a personable guide who went above and beyond for all sightings, whether big or small (we are aspiring birders) - he delivered on all fronts. Apart from his depth of knowledge and skills, a real gentleman - who remembered our names from introduction - this is big for me - took a genuine interest in us as guests. This was really appreciated. We hope to cross paths again. Trackers: we had Ron for our first night and Mo for the duration of the trip: Ron - A very wise man and a fountain of knowledge. You can tell a well-respected member of the Sabi Sands region. Privileged to see him at work. Mo - that smile! What a truly good human with eagle eyes. A stand-out highlight was when Mo picked up on some leopard tracks - jumped off the vehicle and made his way into the thicket...moments later a radio call "Got em". A few directions later a beautiful leopard emerged. It was a remarkable piece of skill and great to see the guide/tracker work so well. Wishing Mo all the best with his upcoming guiding studies and further qualifications. Food and beverage: Tammy runs an extremely well-polished team - we were treated like royalty. From beautiful table settings every night to paired wine offerings, everything was immaculate and nothing too much trouble. To the wonderful waitron staff, you were all amazing and kind. Reward, Benedict, Clearance, Nicholas - thank you for all your hard work, everyday smiles, and looking after us so well. To Head-chef Cobus, Penny and Carel - WOW! The food was out of this world! And we enjoyed rolling out of the dining room after each meal. Expect delicious breakfasts, wonderful lunches and 3-course meals every night of the highest quality. Mandla, guardian of the night. The camp is completely open and Mandla ensures safe travel back to your rooms in the dark. Thank you for the safe late-night walks. To the front-of-house team we got to meet, Kiara, Megs, Nadine and Selina, thank you for all you did for us, nothing was a hassle. And for all the behind-the-scenes work we are not aware of, that made our stay so memorable, thank you! To all the smiles we did not get to meet, but who play such an important role in the Leopard hills family , the housekeeping staff, the grounds team and all those in the background - you are vital to this team for creating memorable experiences - thank you for all your hard work, bedtime notes and stories, and greetings around the grounds. To the Leopards Hills family, it was an incredible stay, and we hope to be so lucky to one day return. Until then, keep doing what you doing, it's a wonderful advert for South Africa! Until next time, kind regards The Berold family.

This is one of the most memorable vacations I’ve ever had. Everything was amazing. From the moment you arrive, you are immersed in a one of a kind experience. The staff was amazing, the food was fantastic and abundant , the rooms are spectacular and the game drives are a bit to miss experience. Our guide team of Stu and Mo were fun, engaging and Knowles able about the wildlife and surrounding areas. Can’t say enough good things about them or this establishment.

We have just left Leopard Hills having spent 3 nights there as part of our honeymoon and we couldn’t recommend it enough. The amazing staff are what make this place truly special. Everything was over and above our expectations. Particular highlights were: - Drives with Stu and Mo who are the most amazing guide and tracker and were always the ones to find the animals. We saw four leopards including a kill. - The density of animals on the estate meant you were never far from seeing something amazing - The food. Penny is a very talented chef and you have the option to eat with your guide and the other guests which was a great experience. They also did a boma outside under the stars which was really special - Everyone that worked there was so welcoming and couldn’t do enough including some amazing honeymoon surprises We are already planning a trip back. Thank you so much to everyone at Leopard Hills

So lucky to be able to spend 2 nights at Leopard Hills with my chosen family to meet another incredible family, Duncan, Louise, Megan, Kiara and the entire team at LH made us feel ultra comfortable. Their professionalism, passion and attention to details could be seen everywhere and was felt at all times. The 4 adventures game drives with passionate Stu and Mo will be unforgettable forever. Never did those 2 give up to show us the ultimate safari experience of our lives. Back home (Lodge) we where always looked after and treated like royalty. Pampered in our top luxury suite with amazing outdoor facilities and scrumptious breakfast on the huge terrace with spectacular views and wildlife sightings. Romantic Boma buffet dinner and if you lucky (as we where) captains dinner with the entire family and friends with no shortage of international cuisine or amazing whisky and pinot noir. Big thank you to the team of LH and hopefully I will be back soon.

My partner and I spent 5 nights at Leopard Hills and we could not have had a better experience. The manager, Duncan, and his team have created a wonderful environment for anyone who wants to experience the South African bush. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed and offer special surprises like elephants drinking from your suite's pool. The meals are very good and offer great opportunities to observe the passing cavalcade of wild animals that pass in front of the lodge. The highlight, of course, is the twice-a-day drives. We had a thoughtful and patient guide, Stu, and a very skilled tracker, Mo. My sense is that all of the teams are very good. We were also lucky to have other people in our vehicle who weren't just there to tick off the Big Five but actually wanted to learn from Stu and Mo about the habits and social configurations of the many species on this reserve including birds, reptiles and plants. Were there special moments? It was all special but we will never forget watching a leopard eat an Impala carcass up a tree and a pride of lions where the mothers were busy training their offspring in the art of hunting. My wife was somewhat reluctant to do a "safari". After two days, she was the one talking about our next visit. And, yes, we will go back to Leopard Hills.

We decided to stay at Leopard hills for our 10 year wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen a better place. The lodge is beautiful, elegantly African throughout. The sightings were phenomenal - a favorite being a lioness teaching her cubs to hunt and fight through playing, we could've watched them for hours. The numerous leopard sightings just made the trip, we even saw a porcupine! We were so fortunate to have Mo and Stu as our tracker and guide - their knowledge and passion for the bush and what they do was apparent throughout. We will be back!!

As we had never been to Sabi Sand Game Reserve before, I decided to surprise my wife for our wedding anniversary and spend 4 nights on safari at Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve. Our luxurious suite was extremely spacious and clean with a comfortable king size bed. The bathrobes and slippers, and fully stocked minibar were very convenient and enjoyable. The suite also had a large modern en-suite bathroom with an inside and outside shower, a lounge area, as well as sliding doors leading onto a private deck with a plunge pool and lovely views of the bushveld and a very active waterhole. We spent quite some time just relaxing on the deck, observing the sights and sounds of the bush, which included antelope and warthog foraging around, as well as the fascinating daily ritual of herds of elephants quenching their thirst at the waterhole and on one occasion walking right past our deck. The main lodge itself has appealing facilities, including, a lounge, bar, dining areas, library, gym, and Sala with spectacular views. Both my wife and I had full body massages at the Sala, and Pumi our therapist was brilliant. There is also a swimming pool, and a deck area, also with magnificent views where we had most our meals. The management team and other staff, including, Duncan, Louise, Megan, Kiara, Hugo and Dean, were excellent, ensuring that everything was handled perfectly to ensure a memorable stay. The waiters, Neville, Bright, Reward, and particularly Big Steve the head waiter, were very attentive, efficient and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure that at all times we were well looked after. The head chef Mavis was exceptional, as the food was superb, and our specific dietary needs were well catered for. Mandla, our walking escort, also deserves a special mention, as he was always vigilant, friendly and pleasant, always chatting to us as he escorted us between our suite and main lodge in the early mornings and late evenings. A real treat and surprise was that for our anniversary, a hot bubble bath decorated with candles and flowers was prepared for us, as well as a special private dinner with a bottle of sparkling wine and a lovely cake. Our tracker Culture, and ranger Stu, were extremely professional, knowledgeable and entertaining. Cal, another ranger, also interacted with us frequently before and after game drives and was interesting to talk too. During our stay we were fortunate that we only shared our game vehicle with one other couple, which was nice and a real bonus. The hot water bottles that were provided on the morning game drives were very useful, and the hot chocolate, amarula liqueur, and port wine that was offered to us after the afternoon/evening games drives was always eagerly awaited and thoroughly enjoyed. The refreshments provided on the game drives were also delicious, particularly the muffins and “bush brew” (coffee, hot chocolate and amarula) in the mornings, and the tasty snacks and sundowners in the afternoon. We had fantastic sightings and saw plenty of game, including leopard, lion, african elephant, white rhino, cape buffalo, cheetah, spotted hyena, blue wildebeest, burchell’s zebra, giraffe, side striped jackal, chacma baboon, warthog, dwarf mongoose, scrub hare, tree squirrel, hippo, nile crocodile. We also saw lots of antelope, including, kudu, nyala, waterbuck, and impala. The bird viewing was also good. Besides being fortunate to observe the “big five” on all our game drives, we experienced numerous fascinating and interesting animal interactions, particularly between leopards, lions, and elephants. We also had some exciting encounters with leopards, lions, and elephants coming right up to our game vehicle. All these close encounters were exceptionally well handled by Stu and Culture, and we felt safe and comfortable at all times. We were also lucky to get really close to view lions feeding on a giraffe carcass, as well as a cheetah feeding on an antelope carcass. All these amazing sightings were compounded by the number of awesome leopard sightings we experienced, and the number of different leopards that we saw, including, Ravencourt, Boulders, Euphorbia, Hlambela and Thlangsa cubs. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had an absolutely incredible safari at Leopard Hills and definitely hope to be back.

Was lucky enough to stay at Leopard Hills for 2 nights at the beginning of May ... Amazing Lodge and incredible game viewing in the Sabi Sands property. My wife and I were in room 3 which has an elevated view of and my sister was in room 3 which overlooks a watering hole, both rooms were amazing. We had Stuart as our ranger and Bongani as our tracker and in our 4 game drives we saw it all, including a lion calling next to our land rover and a pangolin (thanks to Nadine who works at the lodge, she seems to be a magnet for them, so try to see if you can get her to join your drive) I can't find any fault at all and the only advice that I might offer is to skip lunch as you end up eating so much that you can feel a bit unwell :) Thanks to Duncan and his staff for an amazing stay!
