You will love the location and more important the concession area with transpassing right. It is not the first time I have been in the Sabi Sands and Inyati but if you think about a travel, now is the time. Usally the density of cars and tourist is limited in Sabi Sands. Despite all negativ effects of Covid, the reduced amount of tourist provides you the chance of a unique experience. And that said, the lodge has taken safty measures (breakfast, dinner served on the table, sanitizer etc.).

Yes, traveling during covid is annoying, but the pay off is big: better rates, no crowds, more exclusive experience and knowing you’re helping to get money on the economy while having an amazing time.
This was my second time to Sabi Sands, first time to Inyati...and it was perfect. We only had two nights, which is too short, but of course the sightings did not disappoint: easily ticked off the Big Five, with lots of leopards, including mom and her babies, elephants everywhere, lions Buffalo, rhino... and as you expect if you know Sabi Sands, the animals are as close as you could believe.
Food was wonderful. I absolutely loved my previous lodge, Arathusa Safari Lodge, but the food at this camp was clearly a couple notches higher. (I think the price point is normally higher too, but Inyati currently has incredible rates.)
Of course service was great, and our ranger and tracker, George and Solly were excellent.
You’ll read these same type of rave reviews elsewhere, so my two cents:
1) it’s unlikely any sabi Sands lodge will disappoint
2) decide how much you can spend—they all will have excellent guides and provide amazing sightings.
3) The higher the price, the better the food, more lux accommodations, and more likely to have less crowded vehicles. (But right now that’s a given with covid distancing. Most vehicles only had 2-4 people) that said, I think any lodge is Sabi Sands will at least have nice rooms and decent food—you just need to think about how much you’re willing to go to raise those levels...but sightings stay high regardless.
Feel free to ping me with any questions.

Our family enjoyed three wonderful days immersed in watching wild game in their natural habitat. This was topped with excellent rides with professional well trained and highly knowledgeable game wardens. All this coupled with wonderful meals with a varied menu, some in the wild bush, where we were watched at close quarters by hyenas !

My husband and I went on our honeymoon trip to SA in May 2022 and we stayed at Inyati for 7 nights. Upon arriving at around 3pm, we were quickly shown to our room to freshen up for tea and the game drive commenced at 3.30pm. Gabriel was our guide & Cliff was our tracker - they are truly the dream team. Even though the vehicle was shared with 2 other guests, we thoroughly enjoyed every single game drive. Gabriel is exceptionally knowledgeable about everything (from astronomy, to wildlife, even trees & birds). He made us very comfortable throughout the 8 days. Cliff is an experienced tracker who managed to hunt down a female leopard that was hunting!! I am very amazed at how good he is at tracking and spotting the animals. He has eagle eyes! We spotted all the Big 5 after just 2 game drives, a pity we didn't get a chance to see any Cheetahs & Wild Dogs. The staff at Inyati were absolutely perfect. Goodman & Adelaide were our servers and they will go the extra mile for you. Chef Cecilia cooks amazing meals that we overeat every single meal. The room is spacious & comfortable. I really loved soaking in the huge bath tub & they even provided bath salts!! Almost every day, Inyalas & Impalas were at our doorstep. I dream about my trip up till today and CANNOT WAIT to be back. We even loved the Curio shop so much that we spent all our cash there. After speaking to frequent safari goers in our vehicle, Sabi Sands is truly the best - the animal sightings are a definite, you get to see them so up close. Please do not hesitate if you are considering to stay at Inyati. I cannot think of anything they can improve on. Thank you for giving us the trip of our life. We will 100% be back!!

Inyati Game Lodge is just unbelievable. Warm welcome with Dominique. The rooms are huge and very well decorated. Food is excellent. The game drives are very well organized (had to install the roof top because of the rain in the morning). We saw the ''Big 5'' during the combined afternoon and morning drive. We couldn't be closer to the leopard and her cub ! Same for lions. Diff is the best game drive ranger ! Thanks to all for this incredible stay. Jack and Veronique (France).

Inyati is an amazing place. Of all the lodges in Sabi Sands, whilst perhaps not the most luxuriously fitted out, it is the best because it is not fenced in so the animals can and do wander through the grounds giving you incredible close up views of wild animals. It is safe because there are always staff on the look out for any of the more dangerous animals and you are given good advice about animal encounters on arrival.
It is incredibly friendly and, as I say, whilst not the most luxurious of all the lodges in Sabi Sands, the rooms are still beautifel, a real treat to stay in, appropriately rustic, very well equipped ad spotlessly clean and the rooms are big and have everything you need, very comfortable beds, complimentary minibar and the room service and general service throughout the whole lodge is impeccable. The food is good and the game rangers and trackers are fantastic, highly knowledgeable and very friendly and safety conscious.
I cannot fault the place and I would go back again and again (as my neighbours do, who introduced us to Inyati Lodge)

I read the reviews on Inyati Game Reserve so I had high expectations on our upcoming visit. To start with, the whole experience of Inyati Exceeded my expectations! We were greeted with warmth as we stepped out of our van
We were taken to our lodge which was very spacious and with private bath and shower facilities. We even had a spacious outside private area where we could sit and relax
The meals were delicious and plentiful. Really enjoyed the boma for our evening dinner. Our guide accompanied us for the evening meals. Would ask us what we were hoping to see the next day in spotting animals and he would make it his mission to find those animals
Now for the highlight of our stay. The early morning and evening safari. We were very fortunate to have a great team of Gabriel and Cliff as our guide and tracker. These two were so knowledgeable in finding the big 5 but so many more
I actually thought they made a mistake on our first outing that they would not be able to top that experience but I was wrong as every outing was full of wildlife and a new experience
If your decision choice comes down to Inyati or another location, choose Inyati. You won’t be disappointed
We spotted all the big 5 and so many more. Not only did we spot the elusive leopard but found 4 of them
A 5+ rating from us!

We had the most perfect stay and bush drives at Inyati Game Lodge. The open landrovers ( max 6 people) provided wide open views of the beautiful Sabi Sands reserve. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and service good. Most noteable were our EXCELLENT and personable driver/guide Gert and tracker Nelson. They seemed to have a second sense where to go to find animals and truly love their work. We saw kills and fights., elephants walking toward us on the roads. Leopards many times, and a rare leopard kill . EVERY drive was exciting and different. We saw the BIG 5 on nearly every outing. We especially liked the continuity of being with them on every bush drive and having Gert join us for meals. The lodge is small , comfortable and beautifully decorated. It is clean and inviting at every turn. The grounds are well kept . Chalet #9 for 2 is the farthest from the main lodge building and most private and peaceful. Recommend!! Monkeys run everywhere , wild game bed down on the grounds. The swimming pool was very clean with a beautiful view of the river basin.. Lounge chairs comfortable and shaded . Our chalet was well appointed. Indoor and outdoor shower plus a lovely tub. All amenities including insect spray, repellant and nice toiletries.. Turn down service prepared mosquito netting and fresh towels. Wonderful wide open views of the river from the main lodge porch. A good value for the quality. You will NOT want to leave~

One of the most pristine settings on the bank of the crocodile river, in the most lush and scenic part of the Kruger National Park. Wonderful friendly staff, and the most ideal setting for the best game viewings with experienced Tour guides and knowledgeable trackers to help find the most amazing animals in the area. Food is off the charts, and the air conditioned, 5 star bungalow chalets provide the perfect retreat after a long day. You will never want to leave.

For South Africa there are four associated plug types, types C, D, M and N. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins, plug type D is the plug which has three round pins in a triangular pattern and plug types M and N both have three round pins. South Africa operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.
Yes, but it is not easy. It is mostly dirt roads and there are no road sign markers. We booked a transfer with GAP Tours and Transfers. This company is wonderful. Inyati is fabulous!
