We had an awesome time at Arathusa. Our lodge was comfortable and roomy, the food was superb and plentiful, and the game drives were beyond believable! The lodge sits on a pond with a resident herd of hippo and daily visitors including giraffe, impala, water monitor, baboon, and water buck among others. The guides and trackers work hard to provide...

Food was superb with a great variety which cater for everyone. The staff are incredible and cannot do enough for you. From Maralise in Reception to...

Our experience here was the best of any vacation we have had, anywhere in the world. Chef prepared outstanding meals, our cabin was first rate, and our game drives, which of course are the main event, were action-packed, educational, and totally exceptional. Roy and Chris are the very best. Consider yourself lucky if you can score a ride in their...

We visited Arathusa at the start of June 2014 for 4 nights. It’s an excellent place to stay with large, comfortable and clean rooms. The setting next to the lake/waterhole is absolutely perfect, many animals come to drink, a herd of hippos also live in the lake and they are fun to watch and listen to. The food was amazing...

Where do I start? The excellent rooms? The delicious food? The excellent game drives and ranger/trackers? The chefs? The massages? Front desk staff? I’ll start from the beginning. My husband and I chose to fly to Nelspruit (from Cape Town) instead of into Hoedspruit based on the flight schedule for the day we wanted to travel. We then chose to...

We stayed at Arathusa for 3 nights and it was our first ever safari experience - we loved it! Staff are friendly, our ranger & spotter Roy & Chris ( "rock & Roy") were fantastic. They promised us the big5 during our stay and they delivered in the first 2 days!! They fed us constantly, and the food was fantastic,...

Our first safari but after this experience definitely won't be our last. Lovely accommodation, great food and saw many more animals than we ever expected to and in very close proximity. Treatments in the Spa were very good value. Would definitely recommend Arathusa. Thanks to everyone at Arathusa for giving us the holiday of a lifetime, particularly to Debeer's, Professor...

I had the good fortune to stay at this wonderful lodge for 4 nights May 2014.. If there was a rating of more than 5 stars, this would be a 10. The lodging, the food, the staff, the tracker (Rifus), the guide (Sean) surpassed my highest expectations. The chef even fixed smores for several of us. I hope someday soon...
