When we first arrived, we were greeted at reception and were asked about any allergies. I let them know that I had a severe nut allergy, and they promised to alert the kitchen staff of this. My throat can close up if I have nuts, and the safari is in the middle of nowhere and obviously that would become very...

We were there for 3 nights last week. Our experience was amazing. I was a little spooked as this place was highly recommended by our agent for our 2 week trip in S Africa by a review just before we arrived that only gave it 1 star. Anything but that. Warren and Lisha and staff were so impressive from the...

Our first African safari ended up being our best experience. The lodge was great; the food terrific; the service extensive and superb. The best part, however, was the off road safaris conducted by an amazing ranger and his tracker. We had two more excellent African safaris, but neither could ultimately provide the extremely close-in experience of big cats and their...

This lodge is marvellous, the accomodation is excellent overlooking a watering hole where all sorts of wild life come to drink. The food was good and our driver and tracker, Roy and Chris were amazing. We saw so many animals all due to their expertise and willingness to help. You go out looking for animals twice a day and have...

My husband and I traveled to South Africa and Arathusa Safari Lodge with four of our friends. We had a wonderful time. The lodge was beautiful, the staff attentive and accommodating, the food delicious, and the game drives phenomenal. Our ranger, Rein, was informative, fun, funny and worked hard to get us some unforgettable game sightings on safari. I would...

My partner and I stayed at Arathusa lodge for 3 nights in April and it was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. The lodge itself is stunning, with an amazing location in Sabi Sands private game reserve right next to a watering hole, which had regular animal visitors day and night. We cannot thanks our ranger Jamie...

Very nice lodge, although for the daily rate, they could pay attention to finer details to be up there with the best lodges in the area. Inclusive booze package should have far more options (especially beers, wine and spirits), rooms could have more privacy especially in front of the bedrooms, dinner venues could be more varied instead of the same...

This was the first time my fiance and I went on Safari and it was amazing! Our ranger, Jamie and our tracker, Norman were fantastic to say the least. Jamie is so knowledgeable about the animals, the different insects and the plant life. He took his time to explain things and stopped to answer any questions. The best experience was...

We went for our honeymoon and could not have been happier. We saw all of the big 5 except water buffalo and found ourselves extremely close to the animals. The accommodations were great and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Our ranger Rein and tracker Debeer were very informative and were great about finding the animals. The lodge also...

An intimate luxury bush experience. The hotel features a hippo pool and everyone strives to get the rooms that over look the pool. During our stay the pool was low due to the drought in the area and animals by the pool were scarce. We got a bush facing room and once again absolutely amazing. The bush rooms are a...
