Nottens came highly recommended on-line and from our travel agent. It did not disappoint. As a family run operation (with the owners and many long-time employees providing the service) along with its small size (8 rooms), the attention to customers was has hard to beat. There was a perfect balance of care and being left alone as needed. The routine...

If I was to choose one word to sum up Notten's Bush Camp, it would be: magical. I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. This place is such a gem. There are 8 beautifully appointed rooms (complete with outdoor shower, my fave!) Everything is clean, gorgeous and your backyard is the bush! The no lights thing didn't bother me...

I haven't stopped thinking or talking about Notten's since we left the premises. Dale and his team treat their guests like family. The food was so good that I can now imagine what royalty must eat everyday. We were a little curious about the lack of electricity -- but the whole experience was so amazing and authentic that I am...

We stayed 3 nights at Nottens and were treated to not only excellent service in the first class accomodation, but also excellent guiding and game viewing. Meals were superb, service was superb, vehicles were in good condition, and we were made to feel at home.

There's something truly magical about this place. Forget the fact there's no electric light in your room ( its actually quite annoying at 5am in the morning and you're searching for your camera equipment), the lodge has its own special atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully fitted out, the food was amazing, the staff are very attentive and the pool was...

I've done several safaris throughout South Africa and was very impressed with the quality at Nottens! The rooms were neat and luxurious without losing the element of nature that is important on safari. Food was fabulous and the staff were very attentive. The game drives were stunning--we saw a leopard on almost every trip!!

Notten's Bush Camp was our first safari out of 3 we were doing. We were welcomed from the plane at Skukuza airport and luggage loaded into one vehicle and us 6 adults into another! Everyone was so friendly, this was the start of what could only be called a fantastic holiday! We couldn't stop smiling! It took about 1 hour...

We started our African adventure at Notten's after a brief overnight in Johannesburg to acclimate to the time zone rest up from our 38 hour trip through Dubai from Chicago. Shelden (please forgive me if I'm getting your name wrong, I waited too long to write the review), met us at the airport, helped with our backpacks and drove us...

If you do one thing in your life then you MUST, MUST, MUST take a trip to Nottens Bush Farm. The most extraordinary 4 nights and 3 days of our South African trip. A family run business and you can tell because they take the extra care and attention. The food was fabulous, the wine ever flowing and service outstanding....

I can't think of a single thing that I would change about our stay at Nottens. We felt like family from the moment we arrived but were treated like royalty. We saw the big 5 within 24 hours of arriving and had the most exhilarating experiences up close with the animals. Our driver (Geoffrey) and tracker (Abe) were a dream...
