Definitely a throwback to the 50's and 60's "motor hotels". The new owners (@ this for about 1 year) have done a great job of bringing back this old motel. With a great eye for yesteryear style, they have decorated each room in a different motif. Maintaining the ambience of the time, nothing is contemporary, nor should it be, but...

I reserved a room here for my college age daughter and her roommate for a one night stop on their drive back from college. They were assigned the "Army" decorated room and thought it was interesting history! She said the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the owners were nice. She said the breakfast is basic drinks...

Slid into inn parking lot at the beginning of a winter storm. Had reservations, made before the storm was forecast, and paperwork and key were waiting in the room, did not have to line up to register with others seeking shelter from the storm. Inn is decorated in 1950s style, and was a fun place to stay. Snowed in for...

A great find. If you want a fancy lobby or fast food across the street this is not your hotel. It is a bit out of town on the north side by itself. It is an old fashioned "L" shaped hotel. The owner however has the place fixed up. It appears to have fresh paint, good carpets, good furniture, etc....

We literally slid into the parking lot during a massive snow storm. The front desk had already put our key in our room and were very welcoming when we arrived. The owners super nice and are dedicated to continuing to improve the hotel and its property. Each room is different. We had Room #9, with the deer head on the...

The staff are friendly, if a bit quirky! A retro/vintage place to stay for those who hate modern motels. Your own door - not a bland hallway to a bland box. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

I spent the night in room 14 at the Raton Pass Inn and the theme for my room was Mexican cowgirls! The room was super comfortable and definitely vintage. The owners are very friendly, and with breakfast included I got to know them a little bit while we chatted and I ate. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to any...

Spent a night at the Raton Pass on the way back from skiing. Nice rooms, very clean and great service. Plus, the rates were extremely reasonable. Motel was full but still quiet and we were able to back up right to our door. Enjoyed chatting over breakfast with Laurie. Would definitely stay again!

This was our second (round-trip) stay at the Raton Pass Inn. The owners are very nice & make you feel very special on your stay. The rooms are "themed" & always a delightful surprise! The main thing we look for in a motel is a quiet, comfortable place to rest our heads for the night & this place delivers. I...

Very nice, clean room with a pleasant decor. Great shower water pressure. Good heater. Cold fridge and working microwave. The breakfast was basic fare but all good quality - bagels, oatmeal, cereal, scones, toast, hard boiled eggs, yogurt. Good strong coffee. Perfect for a lighter breakfast. The single community table was nice for meeting other guests. One of the owners...
