Check in guy was friendly, but very slow. I had to ask again for the room type that I had requested in our reservation. The room was a nice size, but the floors were filthy. There was dirt all over the floors, but to be fair it was very windy, and the door had huge gaps around it where the dust blew in. However, the floors did need a good scrubbing as they left our feet black after walking across them a couple of times. The beds were very hard, and the fridge and microwave were not the cleanest. The sink and counter were outside the toilet area and it was very large. The fan went everytime you turned on the bathroom light, which I find annoying because you can hear fans from surrounding rooms constantly turning on and off.. The beds were very old and very hard. We were told breakfast started at 7 am. Since we wanted an early start we loaded up the car, and then ended up waiting around for the promised breakfast. We waited and waited and rang the bell, and nobody came. Finally a very sleepy and mussed guy emerged from a hotel room and unlocked the office door. We asked about breakfast and he said there wasn't any! This was the SAME guy that checked us in and told us breakfast would be at 7. Really ticked us off because we could have gotten an earlier start...now it was a late and hungry start! We checked out, and ended up cancelling our reservation here for our return trip. I would skip this hotel, unless you are a hiker/backpacker.…
My husband is hiking CDT so kids and I stayed there to drop him off. Owners were nice, the hotel is dated but it’s clean and you can tell updates are being made. They seem to be very supportive of CDT hikers which is great. Overall if your looking for an affordable place that’s clean and safe this works-we’d stay there again.
This Econo Lodge actually closes at 8pm and didn't open again when I tried to check out at 9 am. Never seen this at ANY hotel before. Room 109 has the smoke detector removed from the ceiling and had no COLD WATER!!! So much for shaving without scalding your hands or taking a shower... I should get a full refund!!! Stay away from this Econo Lodge!!!!!!!
This is the most disgusting motel! Everything was filthy. The bathroom floor and the bathtub were awful. Crickets everywhere. The beds we ok. I should have known better when the outside was so run down. We spend quiz few nights on the road and this one is by far one of the dirtiest we have encountered.
Stayed there for one night. If you are looking for a pet friendly motel and don't want to spend a lot of money, this works out. Pillows are a bit lumpy, but room has small fridge and microwave. Bathroom needed a bit more cleaning. They said they had breakfast, but at 7 a.m. there was no one in lobby. Luckily a McDonalds around the corner.
I was forced to stay in Lordsburg for 6 days awaiting parts at the local Ford dealership. Chose to spend 3 nights here. I've stayed at cleaner and more updated Econolodges. The room was adequate, no more. Both toilet and tub bordered on disgusting. Beds ok. The outside is also run down and the property's perimeter strewn with trash, something frequently seen in the desert. This should be a $40 motel.
Nice place to stop for a late night rest. Evening staff was friendly and helpful. Liked that the rooms had no carpeting and cold air. Morning staff was gruff but helpful. Friendly, nearby gas and food.
We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Lordsburg NM. We were happy to find a pet friendly hotel right on our route and at an affordable rate. But our room had the strong smell of urine indicating that some folks pets didn't manage to get outside often enough. And that the room cleaning fell way short of what is needed. We decided to tough it out for the one night, but our impression was not good. The room was dated, bathroom door hit the toilet when opening, when running the shower - sand and grit came bubbling up from the drain. Weeds growing in the parking lot, beer bottles in the bushes and goat head thorns that hurt our dog. Included breakfast was pretty basic, but fine. Wi-fi kicked us off repeatedly, but worked well when we stayed connected. HBO didn't work.
My room was clean and decent. Walls fresh painted, clean carpet. Decent towels and linens. The beds are good and it's the only place I could find to walk my dog. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Rooms had microwave and fridge, also coffee maker. A few suggestions. Change out drapes and curtains. Worn and unsightly. You can see this from parking lot, so it scares people off. My lampshade one desk was worn and needed replaced. The most important is the dog area. You are the only place in town with a dog area. Very important for people traveling with pets. Clean dog area up. Fill bags up. And clean up broken glass and trash.,that is around it. Honestly this is truly constructive criticism. This motel is a great deal for the money, and I will stay here again.…
This place needs a major update. No matter the low and very reasonable price, it was not worth it. Check in went well and a very nice young man was great. But the room? So worn out. Relatively clean but really dreary. Pillow cases that were inside out, tissue holder that practically jumped out of the wall because it’s too old to stay intact. Sheets seemed clean, but we pulled the bedding back to make sure. Hot water in the shower that came out brown....that was unpleasant. Breakfast was pathetic. How about something healthy? I highly recommend that you do not stay here.
