We reserved a room a few weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told that the room type we had reserved (king) was not available. Only one accessible king room was available, and they wanted to "save" that room. So we were placed in a double queen room which did not have the large sofa and coffee table sitting area that was shown in the pics of the room we reserved. Instead, we had a single chair shoved into a corner. They did not offer any discount for the fact that they did not have the room we had reserved well in advance. The entire point of making a reservation is to get the room type you wanted, in our case a king with sofa sitting area. This reservation was not honored. They also end breakfast early at 9am. Many hotels and restaurants serve breakfast until at least 10am. It seems cheap to end breakfast early, they just want to save a few bucks by not serving late risers, I guess. The eggs were so dry as to be literally in crumbles and there was only stale white bread for toast (no whole wheat) but otherwise the breakfast choices were good, the usual standard for this type hotel: bacon and sausage, yogurt, danishes, waffles etc. On the plus side, the property seemed very clean and the beds were comfortable. The amenities seemed nice. We didn't use them, but there was a pool and hot tub, and a guest laundry. Only one working ice machine on the property that we could find. One on the third floor didn't work. None on the second floor. First floor ice worked.…
The staff was nice and helpful. When ask for food recommendations, they didn't hesitate. Although the clerk did say to get directions from Google because his directions would only get us lost. The hotel was clean and quiet. A normal buffet breakfast was served.
Comfort Inn in Lordsburg is worthy of its name! They treat their guests extremely well. Staff was well spoken and polite. The entire hotel is clean and maintained. We will be staying there again on our way home.
The construction on the interstate beside the hotel made it very difficult to get to the property. This isn't the fault of the motel but plan ahead if you go there. Our room was clean and quiet. The shower curtain was too short to reach the tub so lots of water got in the bathroom floor. We had trouble getting our room door to open and a very nice maintenance man who happened to be on the floor came to our rescue. Breakfast was a standard hot meal. We'll stay here again next time in the area
The location is conveniently just off the highway with a McD next door. Room was clean and large. Carpeted and looked ok. They are now serving hot breakfast again. we got it to go because the room was busy. Eggs were dry. Spa was closed but pool looked open. Ask before reserving if that's important. Staff was slower than in other hotels but friendly. We would stay here again as I know it offers quality. To get back on East bound 10 you have to detour and get to see old Town lordsburg and very old motels.
We stayed here a couple of years ago and once again we found this to be a good hotel. We had no road noise in our room and the bedding was very comfortable. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The pool was open, but not the hot tub. The area around the hotel seems a little iffy, but we experienced no issues.
We arrived in Lordsburg for a 1 night stay after driving Highway 80 from Tombstone Arizona. Great front desk staff, clean spacious room, #208, good complimentary breakfast. There was a constant hum from the I-10 traffic and the few trains that ran through town but not enough o keep us from having a good nights sleep. As other reviewers mentioned, it would have been nice to have prior notice that the pool and hot tub area are closed.
Our first stay here six months ago was OK, generally enjoyable. We were on the first floor near the freeway but somehow the sound wasn’t bad. Tonight we’re on the third floor in a room facing east where the loud sound of noisy semi trucks running over an overpass’s rough road (under construction) every few seconds is really annoying! Earplugs and headphones are a must! When we arrived Army National Guardsmen were hanging out in the lobby, entering and leaving the hotel without masks even though mandated by New Mexico State law. That really bothered us! Our room’s carpet was damaged, the window screen broken and there was mildew on the shower curtain...I doubt if we will be staying here again anytime soon!
The Inn was near the interstate but a room away from the highway helped reduce the noise. The beds were ok, and the hot breakfast was good....eggs, bacon and all the other normal items. The front desk man was very accommodating. The price was moderate and fair, if you planned ahead and booked. Plenty of parking.
We booked a room overnight so that our daughter could enjoy the pool. Their website said full breakfast and said nothing about the pool being closed. When we we checked in we were told breakfast was from 6-9 and no mention of the pool being closed. A few hours later, while I was working, my husband and daughter proceeded to the pool, which we found out was closed. I came in at midnight to find that the couch had no linen and the front desk had a busy signal for the entire stay. So, I preceded down and explained to the nice young man what my issues were. Mind you, I live 35 minutes from this hotel. Had I been told the pool was not fully functional but no one was allowed to swim, I would not have checked in. Anyways, this morning I spoke to the most complacent and uncaring manager on earth, John (we we had to interrupt twice from smoke breaks) who basically told me, oh well. It’s not oh well. They need to update their Covid polices to reflect THEY HAVE NO FULL BREAKFAST AND NO SWIMMING POOL. The rooms are not as they appear in photos and nothing about this was a great stay. Try Hampton Inn just North. I did receive about $10 off my stay because that’s how much they care.…
