Clean spacious cabins. The staff, every one from the receptionist, grounds keepers, to the restaurant personnel were incredibly friendly. Couldn't figure out the heater. Thermostat didn't seem to work but the cabin retained the heat from the warm sun so as it turned out it wasn't a problem. Visited in mid April, nothing else open in town other than a...

Great alternative to more expensive housing in the nearby ski areas. Amenities were good, clean rooms and a few cabin or hotel options available when booked in advance. Friendly staff and locals in the saloon which is part of the hotel complex. However the wait time in the restaurant was excessive, an hour and twenty minutes before we got any...

We typically stay in Angel Fire, but decided to try something new... and found this cute little cabin at Laguna Vista Lodge. Very reasonably priced (we paid $120/night), for a spacious cabin. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Great water pressure and shower. Great tv station choices. Perfect for what we needed. Calamity Jane's next door has a delicious...

My family of four arrived on Dec 23, 2016 and left on Dec 27, 2016. At first site you don't think much of the looks of the Lodge, but we picked it for the size of the rooms and price. It did have Christmas lights and air up decorations. We picked the 2 room with 3 beds. It averaged about...

Spent two nights at this 8000 foot plus altitude for the autumn experience. Scenic excursion options were many and the accommodations were more than adequate. Being next door to Calamity Jane's for breakfast and dinner was a great bonus. Slept well considering the altitude and the bug zapper wasn't a problem.

The owners of this lodge obviously take great pride in their place and it shows, from spotless property to prompt attention to a small room problem. The accompanying restaurant, Calamity Jane 's, is basic and tasty, not 5 star fare, but with the nicest, most fun staff I've experienced of late. It's refreshing going to a small place without chain-motel...

My husband and I stayed in a queen cabin (duplex like building) at the Laguna Vista Lodge while on a long trip home from Idaho to DFW, Texas. We had wanted to stay in Taos but all of the rooms were booked and we ended up in Eagle Nest for the night. Our cabin had a large room with a...

Eagles nest is a small town. Hotel is almost more like a motel. Charming room and decor. Plenty large. Basics-no a/c in summer-it would be ok except the big windows face the hall where the lights are on all night. Also the bug zapper is working all night outside the door. A floor fan was all there was to move...

We have been coming to Eagle Nest for over 35 years, The restaurant has always been a local last choice if you don't have the frig stocked or it's too late to go somewhere else. Still the same IMO. Had green chile cheeseburgers - over cooked with ff and onion rings that had the hades fried out of them. At...
