I truly can't think of any other tourist reason to stay in this bare little town, except as jumping point to visit the amazing Chaco Canyon. We made phone reservations at the Frontier, which was hardly necessary, as the place was empty. The hotel has two areas on either side of the street; we stayed in the "newer" one. My...

The Frontier Motel is an okay place to stay and the best in Cuba. The desk staffer was helpful and got us checked in easily. Our first room had no heat and the staffer was right there to try and light the heater which was dead. He immediately transferred us to a new room with heat. The pillows need to...

I have read some of the reviews by tourists returning from Chaco Canyon, and find them unrealistic for a small town 65 miles off I-25. For my money this is the best place to stay in Cuba. If you are looking for the Holiday Inn, keep driving. But if you want a clean comfortable cozy and safe place to stay...

We had to stay unexpectedly in Cuba, NM because I accidentally left my purse in a gas station restroom. By the time I had discovered my error (80 miles later!) the station was closed. We checked in to the Frontier and I happened to ask if he knew the people that ran the gas station- It so happened that he...

If you have to stay in Cuba.....this is the place. It's a bit sketchy on the outside, but the room was clean, the bed was fine and the clerk was friendly. There is a great restaurant just over the bridge....a short walk.

So disappointed in our stay at the Frontier Motel this Summer. We have never been through Cuba, NM before but decided to spend the night after our trip to Chaco NHP. All was pretty okay as far as the room is concerned--it's old & outdated, but the room was clean. A/C did not work in our room--it was HOT out...

Stayed 2 nights. Shower in room 29 leaked water on the floor. A truck outside had its alarm going off at 3am. Put the maid sign out when we left to go to chaco canyon for the day. When we returned, the sign had been flipped to do not disturb. Our room was never cleaned. Management brought us clean towels...

Very nice little place. Room was clean and comfortable and the Manager was just a very, very nice lady. Had a problem with my tv, which was the only problem I had and it was taken care of immediately. I recommend as the best place to stay in Cuba.

Our room was well over the standards I'd expect for a nowheresville mom-and-pop. Rooms appeared recently redone. Bed was comfortable, cleanliness was OK, dish network TV was a bit hard to figure out but owner came over & got it working for us (could have used an info sheet). Hot water was a bit slow and a tad hard to...

From the outside, this motel looks like a typical dump from the 1950s, down to bulbs being out on the neon sign, but the rooms are newly renovated with fresh carpeting, a microwave oven and a small refrigerator. We stayed in 2 rooms on either side of the highway. Some rooms have flat screen tv and all have comfortable beds,...
