Even though I only rated this hotel a 2, we did enjoy our 1-night stay. This is not a 5 or even a 4 star resort, but for what it was...again, we had a nice evening...Mainly because of the beautiful scenery, the views and the peace & quiet. That was wonderful. Here are my issues: 1. Dead moths everywhere. They...

Please note that I did not stay at The Lodge, so this review is only for the golf course. I first played here about 25 years ago and it is still just a beautiful and fun course to play. The green fees may be a little much, but considering the surroundings and usual excellent conditions of the course, it is...

we had booked a king parlour only to arrive and find that we had no booking, although we had the email confirmation. first we were shown a small, dark room, exactly like other reviews had warned us about; we were eventually given a room in the retreat suites which was large, with a sitting area and common space, but all...

A couple of friends were staying last week for a birthday weekend. We called to purchase a gift certificate at the front desk, thought we'd cover dinners or part of their stay as a gift. Was told the certificate would be waiting for them at check-in. Talked to our friends on Monday, turns out they never received the certificate. Called...

This is a cool place for those who like historical places with character. The rooms have keys, the doors are old wooden (I.e. Not soundproof) & the room is small but who stays in their room. Excellent food, interesting gift shops, one of the highest golf courses. Just a cool old hotel. Great for special occasions.

The Lodge is a wonderful place to relax. Friendly and accommodating staff will make your visit great. However, 2 things: this is a historic hotel. Getting around in a scooter or wheelchair is a challenge. And it's probably not a place for families with younger children as the rooms are smaller. Adults will love this hotel, though.

Many changes since our last visit, and we enjoyed our newly redecorated accommodations. Front desk was extremely helpful with our ADA status. The restaurant was slow and disappointing, with whiny nonsensical excuses from its management. According to reviews, that seems to be its usual state. So, we were certainly forewarned.

The Lodge is a lovely hotel at reasonable rates. It is an older hotel and has some idiosyncrasies but overall it was lovely. Make sure you all about which views your room has. Ours faced some green water tanks. Very unattractive. The golf course is terrific as well as the food.

This is a vintage property. At one time it was the lap of luxury, but now it is a cozy, quaint retreat. Don't go expecting the Broadmoor. The rooms are smallish, but decorated well. There isn't an elevator so be ready to hoof it up stairs that creak sweetly with each step. The staff is friendly and informative, especially Neil...

While this is an old, "historic" inn, it was very disappointing to us, there was little that you could call "special." Yes, it is old, yes, there are some "not restored" antiques, yes, there is some interesting lore, but it is a very average experience. We chose a room on the 3rd floor, even without an elevator, as we were...
