I have traveled all around the world, staying in top rated hotels as well as quaint hotels in Europe, Asia, and the US. This lodge is wonderful. It was clean (lots of hot water!!) and a perfect place to stay whilst visiting Cloud Croft. They...More

My husband and I stayed for two nights in a room with a queen bed. When we checked into our room, we found that one set of the towels hanging on the towel rack was wet. The attendant at the front desk replaced them promptly...More

Check-in process was seamless. Service staff very polite. The outdoor courtyard is stunning and we enjoyed having our morning coffee under the gazebo. Rooms are extremely small and not what we expected for the price. I heard the place is under new ownership so I...More

Not at all. The A/C is great and there are electrical outlets in more than one place in the room. It is an old hotel of course, built in 1899 but the plumbing and (thank God!) electrical systems are modern. We recharged our iPad, phones, etc. with no trouble beyond having to unplug a lamp on one occasion. By "old" expect quaint, not antiquated!

We stayed in a king room but it didn't have a view of much of anything except beautiful snow out the window. Really loved this place though. Lots of history and even a ghost. The room was adequate size too.
