Detailed Reviews
This is a decent hotel with a good restaurant that should be considered if you need a place to stay. We found the dinners to be excellent, with lots of fresh vegetarians dishes and some excellent meat ones (there was a pork dish that was outstanding)! Breakfast is adequate, nothing special but enough choices to satisfy you. The hotel staff, especially the girls in the restaurant are very sweet and will do their best to help you. We were appalled at the number of foreign guests who yelled at them for silly things such as the dining time being delayed by 5 minutes or a dish having too much salt in it. If you don’t like it, don’t eat it!! The hotel has basically what you need. The rooms are quiet but the hallways are not so if guests are loud, you will hear them. We had to ask guests to quiet down a few times as they would yell while talking in the hallway. Our only negative was that our water for a shower was not very hot. We found out later that the staff forgot to turn our water heater on.

We stayed here for a day in our Bhutan trip. The hotel is quite new so the building is shiny and the interiors are bright. We got a nice reception here(with a welcome tea) despite the heavy rush of tourists and didn't face much issues with the check in. The room was quite basic and small but had all the facilities. The restaurant downstairs is warm and cosy, and the staff is quite friendly. The food was average, we tried few Bhutanese dishes and the usual(soup/fries/fried rice/english breakfast). Nice stay in all.

Property is not appealing, congested and rooms are too small. If we get a couple of baggage, the rooms looks fully occupied. We visited in October, and it was not that cold. Atleast there should be a provision for AC and a refrigerator. The room had no view, and worst part was there was a construction activity happening in the plot adjacent to the hotel, so couldn't even open the windows. Anyways opening windows would have made me see only the under construction property. Most of the staff are women, and the hotel has no lifts. So I had to drag my luggage to my room. So that was also an off.
Positives: Staff is just too courteous, and very accomodative when it comes to providing good breakfast.

Not the best timing to come to this hotel, construction work just on the side where they gave me my room, so much noise. hotel otherwise empty. Food too salty, like almost everywhere in Nepal Bhutan and India. I didn't eat my dinner and had instant soup instead. I do not recommend in low season. I'm happy we're only staying one night I hardly can get out of bed the mattress is so soft.

Good hotel, stayed a night. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Punakha is a small town and this is in the center of the town. Restaurants are nearby. Riverside is walk-able distance. A small bridge on the river has a beautiful view.

Our stay in this hotel was very pleasant. The receptist was very kind and polite. We got the booking on walk in and the rates was quite accommodative. The breakfast was good though not complimentary in our tariff. Overall we had a good time.

I really can't write any thing good about the place except that it gave me lotsa towels when i requested a hand towel.
I booked a room with an extra bed, but these people had no foldable extra bed or sofa cum bed, they just gave one lousy mattress which was no good. Also i had booked an executive room, which was supposed to be the biggest but it was so small that the extra bed wouldn't fit and we had to take the table out. The wifi is so bad that it did not work the whole night and the reception had no solution for it, so waste of mentioning an amenity. The city closes down before 8 , so kindly inform them early about dinner as they have just 2-3 vegetarian options available for the day and they serve same 2-3 things the whole day(lunch+dinner). The worst thing about the stay- construction going on all around the hotel...and it did not even stop in evening, they would carry on till 12 in the night or more as per their wish, and there are good 3-5 buildings being constructed all around it, so it's not really a break from the city and bad air if you are looking for the! I was booking Damchen and last moment booked this and regretted a lot after reaching punakha as damchen is next to a river and so serene
