The location ,rooms and the resturant is just a decent one for a family stay. Its has a nice small garden and a good outdoor view from the hotel balcony. The staff seemed pretty busy and courtious in th emean while. However we felt the resturant food was pretty decent but had to order it well in advance by evening to be kept ready fro dinner and also for break fast with a pretty limited options and felt the prices were not just for the quality and quantity of the food served.

A very nice and picturesque property. The owner is a very entertaining and warm person who goes out of his way to look after guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The property was lovely with flowers . Loved the papaya salad served during breakfast.

The hotel is robust 3 stars except that rooms are a bit below (although spacious), and the breakfast is a bit above (you can chose of several a la carte options and get them within some 5 minutes). The front desk staff was very nice as well. WiFi was very poor and patchy though.

A warm welcome and a character as an owner was the best it got. The room was basic with no heating, rationed with one small bottle of drinking water and charged for water at breakfast. Breakfast was basic and not really appetising. We chose not to eat in the hotel for dinner, I am guessing that we made the right choice as dinner in a local restaurant was great. Wi-Fi was just about non existent, whilst I was expecting poor signal, this only seemed to work on IPADs and outside only. Would I recommend this hotel, absolutely not.

We were aware of the hotel amenities, but little did we that some basic needs that were promised were not there. Bathrooms were very sub par. bad toilet rolls, absolutely no hot water(in December) did not help us much, especially with young kids. Food was just average.

I've been strayed so many times in the YT and now, when I go to Lobesa, I know they will give me a nice room and very very good food. Maybe it's not the best: sometimes Wi-Fi doesn't works, and all the rooms are not at the same level of quality... but it is the one where a feel better

YT Hotel in Wangdue, Punakha is one of my favorite hotels. It's big and beautiful courtyard and its location are main attractions of this hotel. It's rooms are nicely decorated and equipped with modern amenities. It has almost 10 kind of trees and 30 kind of flowers in its campus. Avocado, Mango, Banana, Papaya trees are there inside it's campus. It is a paradise for persons those are interested in flowers/ photography. Food quality is excellent. Sitting areas in courtyard are romantic. Very nicely and beautifully Bhutanese tradition with modernity have been kept here.
College of Natural Resources is also close to this hotel and one can visit this College and see the beautiful view of river. Personally I recommend this visit/ short trek for everyone staying in YT hotel.

We had a very cosy stay at Hotel YT during our recent trip to Punakha, Bhutan. The wooden floored fully furnished rooms were very clean, tidy and spacious with all modern amenities. The view of snow capped mountains and river valley from our room were really mesmerizing . The staffs of the hotel were very polite and courteous. The Manager of the hotel was extremely caring and helped us in arranging the local sight seeing in and around Punakha. The hotel also has well maintained and beautifully decorated gardens. Overall, we had an excellent stay at Hotel YT. Highly recommended!!!

Beautifully positioned hotel with attractive facade. Good standard rooms , polite staff. Standard dinner the same 5 dishes as served in the Thimpu Hotel (is this a a Bhutan standard offering to tourists if so its not good).

The YT Hotel is located somewhat remotely from any nearby sights but is nonetheless a great base to explore the Punakha region from. The rooms are absolutely huge with big, comfortable beds. The views of the Punakha valley are also a great feature. The buffet dinner is less a local but more an international offering.
