Combining aman, the Sanskrit-derived word for 'peace', and kora or 'circular pilgrimage' in Dzongkha, the Bhutanese language, Amankora, is a series of lodges in the Kingdom of Bhutan's central and western valleys. The sole surviving Himalayan Buddhist Kingdom, Bhutan is one of the most remote and pristine environments on earth. To best experience all that Bhutan has to offer, Amankora can tailor journeys that include a combination of its lodges located in the valleys of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey and Bumthang.

We are thrilled to hear that you felt like a part of our family from the moment you entered our lodge, it's the exact feeling our teams aim for. I will make sure special thanks are given to our Chef and Lodge Manager Rinzin, for them to also pass onto the rest of the team. I'm glad you had a chance to play archery, it's a must when you visit Bhutan We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Bhutan sometime soon, to experience more of our Amankora lodges. Until then, safe travels to other Aman Resorts! Tashi Delek, John Reed Country Manager

Dear sallywil2017, Kuzuzangpo la and thank you for taking the time to write your detailed review of your Amankora Bumthang stay. It has made me excited to return to Bumthang very soon. Dancing around the firepit with the team is one of my favourite evenings in Bumthang as well, such a wonderful experience that I'm glad you enjoyed too. I will ensure all of your generous compliments are passed to our Lodge Manager and the Chef, they will be thrilled to hear them and pass them on to the team as well. Thank you for being so understanding in regards to the cancelled return flight to Paro. Unfortunately that does occasiaonally happen, and I'm happy Rinzin was able to look after you so well in this situation. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back to Bhutan sometime soon, to experience more of our Amankora lodges. Until then, safe travels to other Aman Resorts! I suggest you ask the hotel directly - there is certainly enough space, but am not sure they would do it. Bon voyage!
