Stayed here for 2 nights just before we headed off to Phu Quoc island. Checked in and got a good sized room, big bed, good A/C , balcony with not the worst view in the world. Was happy enough at that point but soon things started to change. Went to take a shower but no hot water. The Wi-Fi didn't...

The Henry Hotel in Rach Gia City offers good accommodations at a reasonable price... my large room was very clean, and had welcome amenities such as a small 'fridge, good A/C, hot water pot for tea/coffee, and a spacious bathroom. The staff was very polite :) and there are some very good/popular seafood restaurants located along the waterfront, a short...

$23 a night is way too much for this run down, odd smelling hotel. 20 years ago this was probably a nice hotel. Now, it's the kind of place with cobwebs and cockroaches. At 10:00 and 11:00pm, there was ear splitting music playing outside the hotel. It went on for a handful of songs - impossible to sleep. To their...

Rach Gia is not a place anyone will want to stay in for more than a night, so Henry Hotel is a decent option. The rooms were very big, clean and a very decent standard. It's a little bit out of town, but you're not here for the sights. A good place for an overnight stop over.

We stayed in the Henry Hotel as part of a package tour including the Mekong Delta and Phu Quoc Island so the operator booked the hotel. It was not a good place to stay, nobody spoke any English, the water in the bathroom was turned off and when we turned it on we found out why, it absolutely stank of...

Currently staying here visiting local family. Room amenities are basic. Unlike the lower standard places, the room has a tub and shower. Next level down and you just get a water spray in a large room with a drain. Local custom is to keep your passport/visa while you're here. A bit unnerving, but staff are very honest. We had coffee...

A stop off point between Phu Quoc Island and the mainland Mekong Delta when taking the ferry. The hotel was chosen by a local travel agent and we were skeptical based on TA reviews. But the room was spacious, bright and clean, with a big bathroom and great hot shower. Staff don't speak much English but can point you toward...

Booked for us by an agency it probably wasn't one we would have chosen ourselves. It is built in an expansion area where not much else has expanded. A good walk away from the town centre. We had a reasonable sized room but with no windows. No local maps available at the reception and couldn't get instructions on how to...

My partner and I stayed in a Deluxe Double Bed Room for one night. The room was clean, modern and comfortable (although the windows could do with a clean and there was some mildew around the bath) and the staff were friendly and helpful, even though most staff had no English. We had a room with a very small balcony...

If you stay here, request one of the larger rooms, as the smaller ones are very, very tight. The beds are hard and the pillows equally as hard, which wasn't a major issue, however, the music from the Karoke bars across the street went well into the wee hours of the morning made it impossible to sleep. We tried to...

“Decent seafood restaurant with English menu if you turn right out of hotel down to beach and continue down the pier.”

“We tried the Hoa Bien Restaurant at the water's edge not far from the Ferry Terminal to Phu Quoc. The food was very disappointing, but good views. It's difficult to get a taxi in the evening (we ended up walking back), so get restaurants or hotels to ring for you. Also, on the same street as the Henry but on the opposite side, a couple of blocks further towards the main street, there is another hotel that has a Cafe out the front - serves fabulous Vietnamese coffee (in those little dripolator units) for less than 50 cents - but no-one speaks English - just mime!”
