Me & my friends travelled in Rach Gia for some work issues. We all are working tourists in Vietnam, so, our main concern is just to have a decent place to stay for the night. And it just so happened that Kim Co Hotel has been the closest and ideal one.
Working in a hospitality industry, I find this hotel "okay". It's cheap. Close to the city center. Rooms clean. Have hot water. And a helpful receptionist.
We couldn't complain about anything.
So if you want just some place to have a good rest and cheap one. This one is for you. :)

If you absolutely, positively must stay in this town, then Kim co hotel is pretty good for your money. We stayed for one night on a stopover on our way to Phu Quoc Island. We paid 300,000 VD ($15) Which was exceptional value. The hotel is clean, wifi in the room, air conditioning and the staff were friendly, albeit spoke very little English and were not able to help that much as maybe we would have needed. The sleepy night porter did however manageto book us a taxi early the next morning after checking us out of the room in his underpants. The grubby mattress behind the desk indicating he had slept there all night.

Getting there was interesting. We took the bus from Saigon and were dropped off some 8 km from the centre of Rach Gia. At one point thought we'd been tricked by the bus driver as he and his friends appeared to be laughing at us as we walked out of the coach park. In the town where no one seems to speak English and there is very little by way of English signage, you will appreciate our relief when our taxi driver dropped us at the correct hotel. He subsequently ripped us off for not negotiating the price beforehand But we were just happy to be at the hotel.

The town itself is a place I hope to forget in a hurry. A local town for local people would be a good description. We managed to get a decent meal at a reasonable restaurant but then decided to hold up in the hotel until morning. We got a short cab ride to the pier and caught the fast boat to the island at 8 AM.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping over on route. Our room however was very noisy with the constant traffic noise and horn tooting that you expect in Vietnam. I would have liked to have poisoned the dog that barked all night However had already packed my rat poison ready for the journey next morning.

Great hotel option. we Would definitely recommend staying here if you need a bed for the night. No breakfast though, I would just get that at the jetty. The sooner you leave Rach Gia the better you will feel.

Kim Co Hotel is not the hotel that you will remind for the rest of your life, but is a good place where to stay if you have to stop in Rach Già. The hotel is cheap and offers a basic service in an old fashion atmosphere. The room is clean but basic. The staff is friendly and they try to help you even if they do not speak a very good english.

After a bus ride from Can Tho we checked into the KIm Co hotel and asked about making reservations for the boat across to Phu Quoc. Without even checking, the hotel front desk staff informed us that all the boats departing the following morning were full. In disbelief we asked," are you sure?", the hotel staff didint want to be bothered by us and our need to catch the ferry, looking at us with slight rage, " no morning ferry, only afternoon, you want tickets?". We were gutted, then we asked about some places of interest around the hotel, got no answer at all, just handed me a map, then the thuggish bellhop lugged our bags off , wasnt sure if I was being robbed or checking in, creepy lobby vibe, we did get the hotel to call a cab for us, best driver ever, he didnt speak a word of English but he clearly got the message that we were looking for ferry tickets, he took us to a small office near the docks where we got our tix, and then drove us to a great restaurant, wonderful meal, once back at the hotel, i wanted to inform them that we got tix, when i got to the fromt desk, a guy in boxer shorts watching porno,a smoke in one hand and a cell phone in the other couldnt be bothered with me , if anyone wants to enjoy a night in Rach gia, do not stay at this hotel, and if you do stay here, do not rely on the hotel for any info or assistance at all

Only stayed one night before travelling to Pho Quoc. Very impressed, good value for money, rooms clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a high standard especially for the price.
Definitely recommend. (easy to get a taxi to ferry port from the hotel)

We were in Rach Gia for one night in order to book our ferry to Phu Quoc. As it turned out, because of Tet, the ferries for PQ were sold out so we had to make our way to Ha Tien the next day for an alternate ferry. This hotel was just a bit above average. The room was clean and spacious and the mattress a bit firm. We stayed in the front so there was a bank of windows that lent the room a cheeriness. The front desk was helpful. This hotel could do with a face lift as it's a cool design. FYI, because of Tet, most or all restaurants were closed but we did find a very fun place across from the cinema that's worth it's own place on Trip Advisor. Check out Coffee Chapi restaurant for an interesting experience.

The hotel was very well situated in the middle of town, good to book your boat and go to the island, the bus from ho chi Ming city stop around 2 km down the road, you can take a motorbike taxi for 25000 dongs, or walk after the night bus it is pleasant to walk. Front of the hotel the market every day it is great place to visits. The hotel had 5 floors with the lift, the room was clean, TV with English channels, fridge, air con as well, the stuff was pretty nice to me even they English was not perfect. I will be back for sure.

First, I wanted to stay at the Huyen Khang hotel due to one of the reviews here but, It is no longer a Hotel I found out after I went there....They changed owners or something but it is no longer taking guests period. So, I am here at the Kim Co and it is fine. Simple, clean and with funky colors. Staff is good and helpful. Great location. Good wi-fi for sure. No problems here for my stay. I am staying here for 2 days and happy with this Hotel. One more note- The beds are the Latex Kymdan types that I LOVE !! I never hear any one mentioning that on here. I think they are the best !! Many Hotels in Vietnam use them and it is a nice Bonus for sure.
