The price of the room is reasonable and I even considered it as cheap, but wow! The staff were friendly to me and my friend. Linda was really helpful. The room itself was great and spacious even though the AC needs time to make the room cool, but that is not a big deal. Breakfast provided and we can also make our own omelet! The place is also clean and colorful ( I don't know how to describe, haha ). The pool is clean even though I didn't swim there ( I stayed for 1 night only ). Will definitely come back when I visit Tulamben again!

The pool & surrounding area is great. The rooms are big & the beds are comfortable. The staff are lovely & will help you out as much as they can, even offering to shuttle us down to the village because it was raining. The breakfast is a mix of Asian & continental, additional meals are good value for money (the Nasi Goreng is huge). Nice relaxing area upstairs with TV with music channels & a bar (open when there's enough guests). The name BackPacker really doesn't suit this hotel, & in fact probably puts people off. Don't let it, it's perfect for families, couples & groups but there is one room with bunks for backpackers if they want to come here. We knew before we booked but the village is a 10min walk down an unlit road with no pavement.

Its a wonderful hotel, good, spacious rooms, fridge, air conditioning, safe, very cozy area, pool, few people, allowed to leave a room 2 hours later, very friendly staff. Nearby beaches for snorkeling (sunken ship, corals), I recommend this hotel for a family or a group of friends.

The staff is a little bit but all are sincere and friendly. Very cozy patio with a clean pool. The price in high season is 350.000 lower than in other places. Free Wi-Fi and coffee. The rooms are spacious. There is a mini safe. Clean every day. Furniture is good. If you have transport - this is the best place to stay for 1-2 days

Very clean, pool is lovely and good cheap food. WiFi is fine in the rooms. Our hosts Ayu and the cook(sorry we didn’t catch your name) were lovely and really looked after us. It’s a little far out from town but you can easily rent a moped for 50,000IDR and it only takes 5 mins to get there.

Our family of three (adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Food was good, reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool and area was beautifully maintained. Our hostess Ayu was excellent and attentive. Staff was friendly. I will recommend this place to anyone coming to Tulamben.

Stayed there with two friends for one night to dive around the USS Liberty in the morning. I'd like to mention the friendly and professional receptionist Marni. Pros: - great room facilities and space. - nice room layout around the pool. - beautiful garden around the pool. - the pool. - food is pretty decent. - staff is very friendly. - great price/quality relation. Cons: - by the main (and only) road so restaurant area is a bit noisy.

We arrived 2 days ago, in this hotel. We had a very good surprise when we saw the room. It was way better then we forts thought. The linens great, the pool view is perfect to watch over the kids and we have a place to seat, instead of the usual seating on beds. The pool is really clean and we had a lot of fun with the little bridge that passed over it. When you can't travel with pool toys it's a plus.

Only stayed one night here to do afternoon and early morning dives to the Liberty with Bali Elite Scuba who are just 200 metres down the road. Stayed in the dorm room which had only four beds (no bunk beds). Bed was really comfortable, room spacious and nice bathroom. Really liked the free breakfast and the restaurant had good meals at very cheap prices compared to rest of Bali. Couldn't book online because the dorm was advertised as a female dorm on booking sites but called the hostel to make the booking and it was no problem. Staff is supernice and they even dropped me off by scooter to the shuttle bus. Only downside was the shower which didn't have hot water (only lukewarm). You'll probably be able to find nicer places but definitely not for this price (especially including breakfast) - great value for money!…

We stayed here for four nights with our three boys, ages 13, 9 and 9 and did not want to leave. The rooms are huge and immaculate with great bathrooms and aircon. The pool is beautiful and clean. The breakfast is OK, pretty typical for Indonesia, but the food from the restaurant is good. We ate lunch here everyday. While it's true that the backpackers is about a ten minute walk from central Tulamben, we walked to and from town each day for dinner. It's not a problem. Bring a headlamp, cellphone or flashlight as the road is dark at night. I looked around at several places in Tulamben and this is far and away the best deal going. I hesitate to call this a backpackers as it seems to be a step up. Stay here... Enough said.
