Everyone agrees that the views and location are stunning, we also had a lovely terrace area to sit and braai on. Our room was slightly on the small side with one double bed and a sleeper couch. The pool was the disappointing factor being very small, more like an ornamental pond.

Good day Jo and Alida, Thank you so much for both staying with us and for taking the time to write this review. We do apologise for the glitches with the DSTV which has now been rectified. The size of the pool is a factor that needs addressing , it was designed to be child friendly with safety being a...

Well equipped differntly located units on the site. The suites in the main building are very comfortable and tastefully decorated, the cottages are more for the younger ones. All are serviced daily by a very friendly staff, the braai is prepared every day. George is a very kind host. Arumvale is a place to come back.

My husband and I stayed in the rustic cottage on our way from 'die Hel' to Cape Town.... and Wow! What a perfect little cottage in a perfect setting! On arriving at Arumvale we were welcomed by George (a very energetic and welcoming man) to a quaint little cottage with everything you need to relax after a long days drive!...

Arumvale is a great place to get away from it all. I think we had the smallest room but the best terrace. It was the perfect spot to sit with a cuppa in the morning, have a braai in the evening and gaze at the stars at night. Comfy bed although the kitchen area could do with updating

On our way back to Cape Town from PE. We stopped over in Swellendam at this country house. Unfortunately we never managed to get to Arumvale until late at night after nearly 6 hours of driving from safari we were exhausted. We were very thankful the owner George had no issues with arriving late. However after being shown to the...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arumvale for the night. The cottage is well positioned for privacy and amazing views over fields and mountains with Jersey cow grazing in the distance. It is well stocked for self catering and even included freshly ground coffee and milk in the fridge! Our host was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely visit again.

We were allocated the rustic garden cottage which was most unusual and good value for money. Great location for spotting birds and wildlife and a fabulous view of the mountains. We were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went into Swellendam for breakfast, there's a great choice of restaurants and cafes in town.

In a lovely setting with the mountains as a backdrop. Close enough to the centre for the restaurants and sights but far enough away to enjoy the beautiful quiet and peaceful ambience. The property is clean and characterful. George is an excellent hands on host ensuring the braai is fully loaded every day! We stayed 3 nights but next time...

We had a very enjoyable 2 days here having come from Cape Town and Stellenbosch on the way. Having been eating out ever night it was a bonus to see the Braai laid freshly each night for us to cook. SA having been in a drought situation for so long it decided to change during our visit which made the...

A brilliant stay in a peaceful scenic setting. We loved all the fine touches and great service from Carole and George. The braai / Weber was prepared, beautiful Rain bathroom products and a comfortable environment. We're looking forward to our next stay!
