We stayed here 2 nights. Betty and Heiko gave us a hearty welcome and gave us all the information we needed. The place is very nice, clean and very well maintained. But aircon in the rooms was absent which is a great shortcoming in the hot summer. Breakfast was delicious and was served as a colourfull painting.

What a fantastic find. The lodge is set in beautiful gardens and the rooms are beautiful. So comfortable and with a well stocked bar if you needed it. The breakfast is to die for and so beautifully presented. Just perfect. Do not miss staying here if you are near the area!!!

I recently stayed here & the place itself was very nice. The rooms were a bit on the small side but for one night that was fine. The host was very welcoming & helpful. We didn't use the pool so can't comment. It was a easy 20 minute walk into town for dinner - koornlands is a must for meat...

We stayed here one night on our way back to Cape Town on N2 but it is not that far off the R62 either. It was a delightful spot set in lovely gardens on the edge of Swellendam. Our room was simple but nicely done and with all mod cons, on the small size but fine for an overnight or...

As part of a road trip from through wine country, Karoo, and the Garden Route, we made an unplanned stop in Swellendam after a long day of driving. While we only stayed one night, I can highly recommend this Lodge. The rooms were spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was friendly, and the real surprise was waking up to...

Dear Noa, dear Metutti Thank you for your effort in writing a review. We are glad to be able to comment. 1 Yes, it must have been very frustrating not being able to hug each other properly because of the twin beds... But whatever (not) happened - please, we are innocent. You booked a room with twin beds as clearly...

Walking distance to the Woodpecker, a fun restaurant. The included breakfast is amazing. Lots of fresh fruit, some of which I had never seen before. Bettie, the owner helped us with ID. Some of the fruit comes right from the gardens on site. Besides fruit there are meats, cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes....

Good value for money and attentive service. The proprietors work hard to make your stay comfortable. This is not a luxurious place, but it's not spartan either. We did a terrific day trip down to DeHoop. We loved the homemade jams and compote.

Comfortable beds, great pillows, spotlessly clean, friendly service were all received at this beautiful lodge. Little extras like lights and heaters turned on in the rooms prior to our arrival making you feel welcome and relaxed. Would definitely stay here again!
