Good location. Two good restaurants at walking distance, rest a few minutes by car. Swellendam is a nice place for staying some nights. Beautiful room and great, splendid garden with swimming pool. German owners were very heplful, good service.

Stopped at the Marula Lodge for a Night between Plettenberg Bay and De Hoop Nature Reserve. The property is quite big, but the rooms are rather small. Breakfast is ok, nothing special and not really modern.

We stopped in Swellendam en route to Port Elizabeth. We received lovely welcome from the owners. Accommodation was top notch and the breakfast was perfect. Lovely swimming pool and garden. Only downside you are close to the road and the traffic starts early.

Loved Marula Lodge. A great room with a South African theme. Gardens are beautiful and well cared for with a decent sized pool. Restaurants are within walking distance. We were looked after for our one night stay.

Lovely guesthouse, great location, fantastic restaurant, the Woodpeckers just up the road. Breakfast was delicious, and pool and garden were great for kids. Plenty to do in the area and wished that we had booked for longer, will definitely return
