Good place to stayed as part of Garden Route with view to the lake in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Confortable bed, big bathroom on the second floor and delicious breakfast in the morning with fruit, cereal, bread and they will give you a little menu where you can choose you main dish. Recommend!

We were overwelmed by the warm welcome of our host. Our rooms were squeaky clean, towels, bath soaps and shampoo were provided. Our balcony is overlooking a pocket garden and a pool! Our bed was comfortable to sleep at as it has a warmer beneath the sheets! There is also a television, refrigerator and complimentary coffee and tea in the...

The accommodation is nice it feels like home. During day time the scenery of lake and the mountains while having your breakfast looks like a painting. But at night its dark you may not like going out and you may find convenient store around 200 meters away. If you keep charging your phones, tablets or laptop you better bring an...

The neighborhood was so incredibly quiet. The couple that run the guest house were so charming and hospitable. Great breakfast and adorable rooms. I wish we stayed longer. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets.

Stayed here one night on the garden route. Location was amazing, right in the park area, next to the water. Very quiet and peaceful location. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was very good, we had fresh baked bread and fruit along with hot items like eggs and bacon. No complaints, we had a comfortable stay

Last minute booking for this popular Garden route area. Needed a facility that could assist me with my disability problem and Paul and Jenny were able to help. Lovely house with stunning views over the lagoon with areas to walk and see the sights from. Paragliding landing site on grass banks in front of house that evening which made it...

Stayed for 2 nights in the disabled room and everything was perfect. Paul and Jenny are excellent hosts and Diane makes the best breakfast!!! Everything is totally wheelchair friendly and could move around freely without any assistance. It's close to the rivier and i could move easily across the grassfield next to it. Thanks again for a lovely stay.

Jenny and Paul Marshall run a laid-back but very professional establishment which looks onto the unspoilt green adjacent to the Sedgefield lagoon. Visitors from sixty countries have stayed at Purple Heron and the reasons are clear: A friendly reception, excellent position for those seeking a relaxed overnight or longer stay and who wish to kayak or fish in the lagoon...
