Located outside of Knysna this place is worth to drive the extra miles. The beach is literally next to it. Rooms are fine for a hostel but most guests do not spend too much time in them as the hostel offers all sorts of activities and the bar / restaurant below the hostel is usually fully packed with travelers and...

I had a good experience when staying here - good bar, nice staff, okay beds, beach was beautiful, people were nice - untill my last night. I was sleeping in the mixed doorm with 12 beds. Friday night 4 guys were drunk and was very disrespectful and making a lot of noise.. i was calm and did not say anything....

Lyle is a great guy with an excellent business offering. The accommodation is varied and spotlessly clean. There are loads of activities on offer like surfing, kite surfing, horse riding, and more. Pili pili restaurant and a coffee shop are on the premises. Simply walk up the dune and you're on the beach. Properly registered and recipient of various awards.

I want to give this place one star... But that is because I don't want to share this gem, I want it all to myself. Friendly and professional staff make you feel at home the moment you put your feet into the door. 1 minute later it is shoes off, relaxing with your toes in the sand at the beach...

Afrovibe was a great experience for a group of 11 on the garden route. It is right on the beach, has great food, and the people working there were awesome. We were there on Heritage Day (also national braii day) and the pili pili bar there had a big braii for everyone. Very fun spot for people doing garden route.

I just made an account and immediately searched Afrovibe, so I could write about my fabulous experience! In June 2013 me and some friends traveled to Cape Town to volunteer in a township at a daycare. One of the weekends we were there, we went on a tour of the Garden Route basically and Afrovibe was our home for the...

I came as part of a backpacker tour. We received a warm welcome with a cheeky cocktail from the bar downstairs which was a nice surprise. The hostel is located on a beautiful stretch of beach. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only negative I had was that the carpet of the room had not been hoovered and it...

The hostel is great. Arriving we heard there was a bit of a mix-up in our booking, but that was sorted soon enough. We had a wonderful stay, the bar on the ground floor is not disturbing, we heard no music, and we stayed right on top of the bar, and we never had problems with drunk people. The beds...
