We booked on very short notice, but was received friendly. The rooms were clean and we were lucky to get a room with covered parking. The restaurant's food is excellent, worth the wait. The main road close by is noisy, but for overnight stay, this is a good choice.

The rooms need renovation. Smell of old tobacco smoke and they are a bit dark for my liking. The gardens are well kept. We did not use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained. Both reception and dining room staff were friendly and helpful.

We have always had good food at the Arms and our last time wasn't so nice, so we phoned to just inform the manager of the problem. Not expecting anything. She phoned us back and invited us to come have a meal again, to assure they sorted the problem. She checked up on us about 4 times as did the... More

From the moment we arrived at The Sedgefield Arms we knew we were in for a great stay. Michael kindly offered to help lug in the piles of luggage. The cleaning staff were chatty, friendly and very helpful. The accommodation was well laid out and easily accommodated two single adults and two children. The beds were comfortable and warm and... The ONE STOP accom facility. Cosy pub, Good food, well spaced SC rooms, and VERY FRIENDLY service, all ON SITE. The BEST in its class and price range. Keep it up,, Cathy and your lovely staff. Our No 1 stay-over in the Garden Route. Extended stays in Holiday season can also be fun. Arno & Petro

We stayed here for a night to attend an event in the area. It's like going back in time - a well kept, country lodge. Service was great overall - food was ok, breakfast was good - dinner ok, they could definitely improve the freshness/flavours of the menu by going traditional pub grub with a smaller menu - was a... Yet another year where the Sedgefield Arms proves to be an ideal destination for a lunch - time visit! There's ample seating both inside and outside and bookings are strongly suggested. No matter where you have been touring in the morning, a Sunday lunch at 'The Arms' is just what you need to fortify yourself for the afternoon... Sunday Lunch... More

It was clean and the beds in 9 and 10 were hard, but comfortable. The prices were very reasonable too. All in all the S/Arms is in need of an upgrade as were quite aware that it needs alot of tlc! We had a nice stay but the flats were very cold as the wind was coming in under the... More

The room was not what we expected as described with booking.com. We were offered an alternative which was a much lower standard but no reduction in cost was offered. The management blamed booking .com.

Dear Robert, I am really sorry that you felt your room was not as expected and although we were fully booked I exchanged your room with another of your choice in order to satisfy you. We had a lovely stay there and loved the warm beds with electrical blankets! Kathy arranged a milk frother specially for our early breakfast as we were on our way to a trail run. Some of the other units do have microwaves. So we appreciate your friendly hospitality!
