We stayed for two nights at The Tarragon last September. The estate is wonderfully located on the hill slopes in a green environment. Ideal for relaxing and for discovering the Cape Town area. The cottages themselves are beautifully furbished and Julia is a most charming landlady. We would 100% sure return.

I can only join in in the raving reveiws of the other travellers. The garden is beautiful, the view across Hout Bay and the mountains is fantastic. Mark and Julia were most welcoming, offering advice on good family-friendly restaurants and places to visit. The apartment is beautifully decorated, the stone tiled bathroom is luxurious, the little touches like milk in... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarragon, wonderful surroundings, friendly staff and beautiful pool area. The cottage was perfect with a lovely terrace. An amazing place and very reasonable for the standard, we'll definitely return.

All facts about The Tarragon have been mentioned before, thus I just want to confirm that everything is still as wonderful as before: the location, the décor, the scenery and especially the helpfulness and affection of the hosts. Definitely one of the best accomodations I've ever seen throughout the world.

Spacious, elegant accommodation with a superb view. We booked Angelica cottage. We wound up and up the hillside and found the well-signed entry gate to Tarragon. A quick buzz and Mark was there to let us in. He opened the door to the cottage and our immediate reaction was "Wow!". The view from the front door stretched across the huge... More

We stayed at the Tarragon at the beginning of a month-long honeymoon in Africa. We couldn't have chosen a better way to start the vacation. The rooms and surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful. The rooms are so nice that we often found ourselves wanting to stay inside rather than leaving to explore! The location is great. The hotel is located... More

We stayed at the Tarragon at the end of our trip in Southern Africa. We called a few days ahead to come in early as one of us was sick. Mark not only had the room ready for us but even took the trouble of driving us to the nearest hospital. The apartments are lovely and well equipped. The view... More

I stayed at the Tarragon in April for the 2 weeks preceeding my wedding. The room had great decor and was so peaceful. The self catering and dining facilites are more than what you'd need. Mark and Julia know lots to help you with your trip and are lovely people with a warm welcome. I got dressed there for my... More
