We found 'The Tarrogon' advertised on the internet when we were looking for a place to stay on our recent trip to SA... we had intended on staying in Cape Town city centre, however as I had previously been to Hout Bay - we decided to look for something outside of the city centre... we could not have asked for...

We had a great stay at the Tarragon, this place has everything to offer. Affordable accomodation that's close to all the attractions and nightlife. The apartments are spacious and beautifully done out, also with private terraces. We loved it there and had a great stay. Mark and Julia were excellent hosts and gave us plenty of great tips during our...

The Tarragon is a really beautiful place to stay and the location is fantastic!! It was our home away from home! It is a well maintained and private accommodation! This is a small group of cottages in the most beautiful gardens which have many private areas for you to relax in. The cottage we had faced the koi pond and was a lovely large room with 2 private outdoor seating areas. The rooms were serviced every day (excl w/e) and apart from breakfast we ate out as it was...

Stunning, secure, scenic and run by the most friendly, charming and helpful owners and staff you could wish for. We, the adults, found it the ideal place for visiting Cape Town and it's environs and the children, aged 5-13 loved the pool, gardens and fish ponds. We've stayed in some lovely places in our time and The Tarragon rates with the very...

Our first trip to South Africa and what a place to start. We were following our son on a school cricket tour so wanted a quiet special place to stay, close to Cape Town, but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. The Tarragon was everything we wanted and more. The accommodation was luxurious and peaceful. The gardens,...

I stayed at The Tarragon with my husband and 9 month old baby girl. We were looking for self catering accomodation within a shortish drive of Cape Town and the surrounding tourist attractions. We were in a beautiful comfortable cottage with separate kitchen, bathroom and outdoor BBQ area. There was loads of space for our daughter to crawl around safely....

We have just finished a 3 week touring holiday of South Africa along the garden route. Our last 3 days were spent in Hout Bay at Mark and Julia's The Tarragon. Out of all the places we stayed, this was by far the best. The self contained unit we had was spotless and had a warm and relaxing decor. The...
