We stayed at this lovely place earlier this month and I can't say enough good things about it. Firstly we were warmly greeted and upgraded to a bigger room. They are tastefully furnished and everything you need is there. We hadn't booked a restaurant to eat and was advised by Tim we needed a reservation at the places locally as...

The owners had only just taken over the guest house, so were still feeling their feet but could not have been better hosts. They made restaurant reservations and booked taxis for us, also printed off maps for the next part of our trip. Our room was spacious, breakfast was great and would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again....

The welcome and breakfast were good, but we were rather uncomfortable in the far room by the pool which was rather odd. It was dark because the only source of light was the glazed door facing the pool area. There was no privacy if the curtains were open. The room layout was also strange with an open plan bathroom in...

A well positioned, comfortable hotel. The new owners were very hospitable. The room was large, well laid out and comfortable..And the breakfast was the best in our two week tour. We'll be back again (Deus Vult!.)

Having recently returned from a glorious five week visit to South Africa , Ashbourne House was certainly outstanding among the many excellent four and five star properties which we stayed in. The accommodation was of a very high standard in terms of furnishing and bathroom and courtyard pool area was very attractive . The new owners, Tim and Nadine could...

Tim and his wife were very helpful when my wife fell ill with a tummy bug. This is a nice place to stay and very handy to visit the village. Tim had set up various restaurant bookings for us which saved us a lot of time and hassle.

Stayed at Ashbourne House whilst we did a wine tour in Franshoek over a couple of days, which wasnt long enough. We were very happy with our accommodation, it was very comfortable and clean. Beautifully decorated throughout the whole house, the lounge was particularly beautiful. The owners were friendly and extremely helpful, booking restaurants and taxis for us at no extra...

We were made to feel so at home and nothing was too much trouble to organise for us whether it be a route for a walk or a restaurant booking. Lovely pool area to chill out towards the end of the day and great location.
