What an incredible Experience. I booked an enchanting high tea at the newly renovated Le Petit Manoir conservatory, where elegance meets charm. Bathed in natural light, the conservatory features lush greenery and exquisite décor that sets a serene atmosphere.

As you settle in, you’re greeted with a selection of fine teas, each steeped to perfection. The tiered stands arrive, adorned with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of artisanal pastries that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

The attentive staff enhances the experience, offering insights into each tea and delicacy. The soft sounds of lounge music create a soothing backdrop, making this high tea not just a meal, but a memorable occasion to savor with friends or family.

An exceptional stay at a beautiful 10-bedroom boutique hotel, perfectly situated on the main road of the quaint town of Franschhoek.

If you are an international traveller arriving at Cape Town Airport, an Uber or taxi will take you to Franschhoek. Once at Le Petit Manoir, everything is within walking distance – from charming shops to excellent restaurants, and of course, the renowned wine tram that tours Franschhoek’s many wineries. It’s the perfect base to explore the Cape Winelands.

The rooms are truly exquisite, and the décor throughout the hotel is simply magnificent.
We stayed in the King Suite - Room 9, which has a lovely patio overlooking the mountains. It faces the back of the hotel, and we loved that. The room was quiet, spacious, luxurious, and beautifully designed.

There is a stunningly beautiful small pool area at the back of the hotel for guests to enjoy.

The hotel’s deli is a hidden gem, serving delightful breakfasts and offering an inviting, beautifully designed space for light lunches, great coffee, or cocktails.
Service is impeccable. The staff are warm, attentive, and professional. A special mention goes to Frank, who made us feel incredibly welcome. All in all, an absolute treat.

Highly recommended.

A boutique hotel with only 4 rooms beautifully designed with tasteful interiors including a free standing roll top bath, wood burning stove and a balcony.
Breakfasts were delicious, served in their cafe/deli which was full of local residents also (always a good sign!)
Service was warm and helpful and when we arrived late for check in after the restaurant had closed we were assisted with finding a restaurant in town that was still open.
A great base to explore Franschhoek from.

Hubby & I left the kids with my mum-in-law and had our first getaway since our 2nd child was born. The hotel is perfectly located in the high street so walking everywhere in town is a breeze. The room is the perfect size; even has a fireplace for those chilly winter nights!
I loved the touch of the complimentary hand sanitizer & face masks incase you'd forgotten yours.
Service was super friendly but not in your face. Lovely small pool area; would have loved to have read a book while lying next to the pool; next time!
I'd highly recommend this boutique hotel for a stay in Franschhoek.

I think the hotel is very comfortable with attention to detail in terms of decor and other facilities. The hotel is closed on a Sunday and so there is no turn down service and it was really challenging to address needs. The attitude was defensive and unapologetic. For a five star hotel that is not cheap, I do expect a certain level of service in terms of quality and consistency. I won’t go into all the details as I addressed it with the hotel directly but next time I prefer to stay in a hotel where it easier to connect with hotel staff when something is needed and where they are not rude. On a more positive note the breakfast was very nice.

Brilliant place to stay right in the centre of Franschhoek. The hotel staff were so attentive, helping us book a wine tour, bending over backwards to make our stay wonderful. The breakfasts were incredible - everything is made on site and the food is 5*. The room itself is so spacious (plenty of space for our travel cot), and there is a balcony overlooking a beautiful church. Great facilities inc coffee machine, fridge, great a/c. Lovely details like lovely soap, complimentary water, and a gift on departure. We booked with a tasting menu included which we couldn’t rate highly enough. Our baby monitor reached the restaurant below so we happily dined knowing he was safe. Highly recommended!

Room is comfortable and generally well decorated, with lovely views over high street, and surprisingly little street noise [only the church opposite!]. But the room needs some practical additions - for example decent reading lights over or beside the bed, a nicer bath mat [there was just a bit of carpet] and larger bath sheets rather than the skimpy bath towels they left for us. Coffee machine is a great idea but we couldn't get it to make hot coffee. But what really let it down was the shoddy and slow service at breakfast - we'd had lunch there the day before and the staff were ok, but it just seemed at breakfast that they didn't care or didn't know what they were doing. Some skills training definitely needed there. I did mention to the manageress on duty, so hopefully they will do something as in this economic climate such shoddy service will not help a business.

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. It is centrally located and the rooms are lovely. We were celebrating 25years of marriage and the hotel left us a celebratory bottle of champagne and card, it was very nice of them. Breakfast was excellent and check-in/check-out all hassle free. We’d definitely return.
