I'm sure that there is an abundance of luxury properties to stay at in the Franschhoek area, but my wife and I fell in love with LPD during our trip along the Garden Route, winelands and into Cape Town earlier this month (Nov 2016). The first thing we saw when we arrived at the property was a huge Jacaranda tree... More

Turned up here and they took us to our own cottage with its own lounge/kitchen and massive bedroom and bathroom with his and her sinks. It's beautifully put together with a patio overlooking the Franschoek mountains and a swimming pool. You walk through the vineyard to breakfast. The menu is extensive and you can sit on the patio or inside.... More

This hotel feels like it is punching when advertising as 5* - the rooms are nice, all the products have labels saying 'use but do not remove from room' implying guests would want to walk off with half a bottle of shower gel! No bubble bath despite lovely bath tubs, the charge for things that most hotels wouldn't - the... More

The most fabulous boutique wine farm hidden away in Franschoek. Lovely staff in an idyllic setting. Walking around the vines to breakfast and dinner is a real treat. Couldn't be better. We love it here and will be back

We could not have picked a better place to stay! Everything was amazing from food location and rooms. Basically you have ur own villa great views staff is so friendly and helpful. 5 minutes from town and other great restaurants. We went to a few different towns in South Africa and this was by far one of the highlights. Definitely... More

We stayed at La Petite Dauphine in September. The rooms were great with a great complimentary Sherry in the room. The outlay of the vineyard is really beautiful and gives an "old fashioned" feel, but has all the amenities that you need. The breakfast available was good and we really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend for a future stay in... More

Even more beautiful than the photos. Terrific food, outstanding staff. The security guard was a great personality. Posh and worth every penny. We would love to return. Staff was very helpful arranging a lovely breakfast for a 0330 am departure. Walking the grounds and sitting out for sun downers was great.

Wow, what a magnificent place. Our room was gorgeous -- like our own private home. Extremely large and beautifully decorated, with a fabulous bathroom. We had a porch in the front and a patio in the back which looked out onto a lovely pond. Also had a splash pool. Breakfast was delicious. Also had a wonderful lunch there at their... More

Had a lovely breakfast while taking in the amazing views. Great decor and very tasty eggs benedict. Slice of Lemon custard was huge, cheesecake was however not so desirable. Even had Hendrik the rooster pop in beg for scraps at our table. Will go again.

The rooms at La Petite Dauphine are amazing! Love the cozy atmosphere, the gorgeous property, the well apportioned amenities of this B & B. The food great at the restaurant on site. We especially enjoyed the in room fireplaces and large bathrooms.
