We stayed at La'ermitage while on our trip to Cape Town for our 25th wedding anniversary. This is a beautiful place. The surroundings are breath-taking and the scenery out of this world. It was quite cold and rainy on our stay, but there are so many things to do that it was not a problem. The staff was exceptionally friendly....

We stayed at l'Hermitage for two nights and were very excited by the beautiful look of the property as we arrived. When we reached our villa, however, the porter had difficulty opening the door, as the handle was stuck. We then used the bathroom and the taps on the basins were loose. These problems persisted during our stay. On the...

We had a great stay over the Christmas/ new year break. Very quiet and staff is brilliant. The only negative point to note is that the towels are finished. They are washed and used up. Pity to live in absolute plush grandeur, only to find the linen at its end. Other than that, a fantastic stay and will come again.

Not the 1st time in Franschoek and not really a planned trip. Stayed at a 2-bedroom villa. Loved the location, deco and room size. Close to all renown restaurants. Great service (drinks right at check-in counter and weather cards w/ chocolates on bedside table after dinners). Arrived just after 2PM but were asked to wait 30-60 mins as the staff...

My wife and I wanted to get away for our 28th wedding anniversary and decided to book a 5 day stay at L'ermitage in Franschhoek. We were looking for a quiet peaceful place to relax, drink wine, with a view of the valley. We flew down from Johannesburg and rented a vehicle for the trip. Although quite pricy in ZAR...

what a fantastic place! We stayed in a one bedroom villa on a little dam with the most magnificent view of the Franschhoek mountains! Beautiful big under cover patio, we spent a lot of time there until the weather chased us indoors!. Very comfortable kingsize bed, with good linen, and fantastic pillows. We ordered toasted chic mayo sandwitches which arrived...

Guys, what is this hotel? It's simply amazing! Me and my wife spent a few days of our honeymoon and got absolutely impressed with everything in this hotel. Starting by the first impression, the entrance of L'ermitage seems a path leading to a castle. We thought, for a few seconds, we were in the wrong place. The hostess offered us...

Rated 5 star resort hence charging 5 star prices (or is it for foreign currency). No bottled water, fridge not working, bathroom needs a good clean, linen torn and confusion with account when booking out.
