I spent a glorious 2 nights at The Garden House in Franschhloek back in March. Unfortunately the Cottage was booked, but Annette was able to give us a delightful room in the main house. The decoration has been done perfectly and with comfortable sheets and lovely towels along with coffee and biscuits in the bedroom I couldn't want for more....

We spent a fabulous 3 nights with Annette, Barry, Benji, Lizzie, Marmaduke and the gang in early April. Whilst the town is pretty, the Garden House is even prettier. The cottage was well equipped, spacious and really comfortable. Breakfast on the verandah soaking in the extraordinary view was a great way to start the day. Coupled with the local knowledge...

The Garden House is amazing in every way. It is peaceful and quiet, yet central and convenient (it is so easy to walk to all the delights Franschhoek has to offer.....and they are many..). The rooms are beautifully and comfortably appointed, but more than this, they are very thoughtfully appointed. The plug for the hairdryer is right by the mirror,...

South Africa is a stunning holiday destination. Franschoek is an absolute jewel but what makes it glow with light and laughter are Annette and Barry Phillips and the Garden House, which is great beyond words. If you are fortunate enough to be able to get a booking in what for some years now has been declared the best B&B in...

This was our second visit to The Garden House. Our first was lovely and I couldn't wait to get there again and I wasn't disappointed. We stayed in the cottage, which has a large bedroom and a very big bathroom. The bed was very comfortable with lovely bed linen, crisp and fresh. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace in the...

I stayed with Barry and Annette in their beautiful home, the Garden House, in Franschouke. They hospitality is all part of the experience, as is the delicious healthy breakfast served on the terrace with spectacular views over the garden and mountains beyond. Breathtaking. The house is beautifully styled with an eclectic mix of furniture and artwork, all adding to the...

We stayed with Annette and Barry during our Honeymoon in March 2017. To summarise - it was fantastic! Lovely house, stunning views, great food and wonderful hosts. Annette was very helpful when it came to fitting in our booking and equally so when we asked for information about the area prior to our arrival. We were warmly greeted and invited...

Our umpteenth trip to the Garden House which we love so much. And on both arrival and departure we also crossed over with guests who had returned many times. Really, what else do you need to know? It always works its magic. And apart from the warm welcome, the delight of Annette and Barry, the huge room, friendly menagerie and...

This cosy little guest house offered us a pleasant stay for two nights. Close to down town but at the end of a small road. The friendlyness of the owners Anette and Berry is unsurpassed, also their breakfast on the terrasse. The property is home of beautiful gardening and a nice pool . Only one room in the main house...

This was our second visit to Franschhoek to stay with Annette and Barry in the Garden House. The combination of the perfect location in the town, beautiful garden, pool with stunning views and the warm, fun conversation make this a unique place! Last time we only managed 3 nights and this time we doubled it and I still wished we...
