We visited Gorah for one night before driving the garden route to Cape Town and it was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we felt completely relaxed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room (tent 11) was fantastic - right on the end so very private. The drinks cabinet and sherry in the room was a lovely touch...

Do it if only once in your life. Took the luxury tent for a few nights and wow, not really camping but hey. Treated to a big bull elephant sticking his head into the main dining room on our arrival and it got better. It was absolutely freezing at night time but the staff put hot water bottles in our...

If you only do one safari in your lifetime let it be Gorah. No it doesn't have some animals such as giraffes, you'll be wearing creased clothes, having bad hair days and only have wifi in the main lodge but trust me having spent two glorious days there, non of that will matter and we did combine it with a...

My partner & I recently returned to Gorah to pick up my heart, which I had left there last year. Our visit was as special, if not more so, than our previous one! The Gorah family staff, accommodation & lodge are brilliant, nothing too much trouble & of an impeccable standard. A huge thank you to our game driver, Stewart,...

Gorah Elephant Camp is inside Gorah National Park where there is the most concentration of elephants as well as the other big 5. It far exceeded our expectations. It is an old hunting camp and at night is lit by gas lanterns. There is a natural spring right outside the veranda where lions, elephants, zebra, meerkats wildebeest and warthogs come...

Had opportunity to spend 24 hours on that camp. It was absolutely stunning. The tents are just magic, the sun rise up just in front early morning, like in fairy tales. Included 6 hours game drive with ranger 2×3 hours. Food and drinks included (high standard) Very special time. I would say just do it and you will purely enjoy it....

Everything about Gorah was wonderful. The luxury tents are just that - gorgeous and so comfortable. The lodge is lovely, staff attentive & accommodating, food very good, and the game drives were great. It was very rainy & cold during part of our stay but everyone made even that a fun adventure. We were given blankets, hot water bottles, rainproof...

Our thanks go out to our ranger Cornie, Cindy and the whole Gorah team for a truly magical stay. The game viewing was fantastic - so many elephants and close up viewing with lions and so many more animals out on drives and at the watering hole by the main building. We learnt so much from Cornie about the wildlife...

My wife and I stayed here for the final nights of our honeymoon. We specifically picked it because it's in the heart of Addo Elephant Park and we really wanted to see Elephants in their natural habitat. We were not disappointed! We were lucky enough to see hundreds at a watering hole in the Addo Elephant park. We even saw...

We had a wonderful stay early June, only trouble was we wish we'd booked for longer. The tents were superb as were the surroundings and the staff especially our ranger lovely Corny, he is so knowledgeable and didn't get fed up with our many questions as there were 5 of us, parents and 3 sons. ALL staff were great, friendly...
