This was a last minute romantic getaway. When I called tom the owner was very personable and pleasant, but when we got there not so much. When we checked in he just about walked us to our room and then his cell phone rang and he kinda left us standing in the doorway and we didn't see him again until...

We strive to consistently exceed customer expectations, and we're sorry your experience at the Whistling Swan was disappointing. Thank you for the feedback on the mattress in the Waterloo Village room. We rely on customers' candor to ensure that our rooms are of the highest standard. It was not Tom's intention to treat you in an impersonal manner, however he...

This lovely Bed & Breakfast Inn, is tucked away in the quiet hills of Sussex County in northern New Jersey. On a recent visit with a long-lost cousin, my hubby and I booked The Whistling Swan Inn. It was perfect! Owners Tom and Roz Bruno have taken the time to make the Inn comfortable and welcoming, from the guest's point...

We like to stay in Select Registry Bed & Breakfasts because they have a standard you can trust. This one was in a proximity that met our needs, only an hours drive to New York City. Stanhope is smalltown USA. Very quaint and quiet town. The Victorian charm is still present both inside and out in this elegantly restored 1905...

We stayed in the Whistling Swan for two nights in mid October. This is the third B & B we have tried in NJ and so far the best. An large, old house, but meticulously maintained and beautifully furnished. Roz and Tom were great hosts, and we will definitely be returning. Rich and Carol, NJ

We stayed at the Whistling Swan hotel for 2 nights whilst visiting family in the area. Ros and her husband made us very welcome and made the best breakfasts. Each day was different. The homemade pineapple muffins deserve a special mention - delicious! The lounge area was very relaxing with a great choice of complementary hot and cold drinks (inc...

Coming from England we wanted some where away from hotels and tourist type of things, this is the place, if excuse the English in me, to sample America and this was it. Friendly atmosphere, the host Ros is a gem. Our son is working in America, about 12 miles away from here, so I would like to think we will...

It was absolutely wonderful having you both at the inn, and I most particularly enjoyed our little chats at breakfast. Thank you for helping me remember all that I love best about England. I'll look forward to seeing you the next time you visit your son. - Ros

My husband and I stayed at the Whistling Swan in a few weeks ago. We had a lovely time staying in the Walnut Valley Suite and enjoyed the romantic ambiance. The owner knew from our reservations and my subsequent e mail that we were a WEDDING party. My husband and son were dressed for a wedding as was I and one of the bridesmaids was with us. This unfortunate set of circumstances could have been avoided if the late check-in procedure had been followed. We ask guests checking in after 9:00 pm to do a self-check. It is not unusual for guests to need a late check-in, and the confirmation letter the guest received gave instructions on how to self-check. It is true that I met the...
