A short break away from the big, bad City at the beginning of summer break for the dear wife, …but didn’t want to have to drive too far. Found this seemingly amazing deal on one of my favorite “deal” sites: Groupon. And it certainly is a great deal for the location and price: two nights in a “genuine” castle in...

Decided to visit the NJ Botanical with an overnight.. Skylands is special and yet the service was lacking. Not clean enough.. Breakfast not fresh enough.. Attention to detail less then enough.. It could be outstanding . If only ...........

Incredibly beautiful / peaceful grounds and mansion. Both the Queen Antoinette and King Arthur suites were a good deal for the $129/night that we paid thru Groupon. Continental breakfast was more than adequate with home made baked goods, bagels, breads, fresh juice, and coffee/tea. Some things related to service were not to my liking. 1) Check-in at 4:00 pm, no...

My wife and I stayed for two weekday nights and had a fantastic time. There was only 1 other room occupied the first night but early arrivals for a weekend wedding started filling the place up on the second night but you could only know of their presence in the public areas - the rooms were very quiet. We made...

It's a castle, how cool is that? It was really pretty. The rooms were roomy and clean. We did go exploring after we checked in. How could you not? The gardens outside weren't in full bloom, but they were still lovely. My son and I really enjoyed going for a walk before breakfast. Breakfast itself, continental to say the least....

I enjoyed my stay at the Skylands a couple of week's ago. I took my boyfriend for a little overnight retreat for his birthday. We had a beautiful picnic lunch in the botanical gardens. It was like we had the place to ourselves. We stayed in the knights quarters. Very nice. Not fancy but stately and old worldish. The bathroom...

My daughter and son-in-law had their reception at the Castle on May 28, 2016. It was perfect for our daughter and her husband. Erin truly was a princess on her special day!!!! Linda, the Castle's wedding coordinator went above and beyond to ensure that everything was just right. The venue was exceptional. The gardens were magnificent and a perfect backdrop...

This is not your usual hotel. Feels more like visiting a friend's home, especially off season. Feels like having your own estate to explore. It is not perfect, and the building itself needs some repairs, but that makes it more interesting. The bones and trims of this castle are top notch. They encourage you to explore the castle, which makes...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Skylands Manor a couple of weeks ago and we loved it. Everything about the place was absolutely stunning. We stayed on a Sunday evening and their were no other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves. Our Innkeeper Margie was so sweet and accommodating. Since we were her only guests that night...

Pulling up to this castle at night was very cool; it reminded me of Wanyne manor from Batman. The innkeeper, Sandy, was very pleasant even though we were a 1am check-in. Our room was the $100/night variety; it has a small TV w/ five channels and no wifi. so don't expect grandeur, at least at this price point. Breakfast consisted...
