The hotel stay started off good but ended really bad. I decided to do a staycation for the weekend with my boyfriend. We were staying for one night but extended it for another night. The first night I stayed at the hotel on Friday February 3rd, 2023 everything was fine and the full amount was charged and taking from my card. The next morning we decided to extend our stay and paid the full amount plus taxes for that night. The lady at the desk used my boyfriend card for the second night on February 4th, 2023 instead of charging the card that was on file. She told us everything was ok and the payment was successful. As I was checking out of February 5th, 2023 she told me I have to pay extra because she over-swiped the debt card and the system rebooted and deleted the information from the first night February 3rd, 2023. After showing her debt card statements and the payment processing on my boyfriend and I a card she told me it’s nothing that could be done. She will reach out to the manager and the manger told her to call the police. We waited for the police to arrive to explain the situation but that didn’t help. So now I will be going to court after showing proof of the paying being processed and going through. I will be reaching out better business bureau and the civil rights division department of justice for racist and discriminations. We are a hard working black couple who stayed at this hotel many of times. This by far was the most embarrassing and disappointing stay.

I am very disappointed in Marriott. I emailed with the manager, I received an email back but it's just not enough. Our room smelled of old smoke, the phone was broken, the ice machine broken on the floor and there was vandalism in the hallway. There is no customer service at this hotel, limited staff, not even a free water bottle. Furniture in the room was stained, will never stay again.

Stay at Forrestal instead. The restaurant and pool were closed, and the rooms were very outdated. The whole place is a little musty. It's not the Marriott Courtyard quality I'm used to. Tostly empty for a reason.

Very tired hotel that is in need of a renovation or update. With so many other options I would not stay here again. Why? The beds are hard and uncomfortable. The sheets and blankets are thin and threadbare. The bathroom shower had dark marks that were either mildew or dirt. The shower area was also super dark. The lampshade liners were torn and the headboards scratched and worn. It was not up to even a Courtyard by Marriott level at all. The only positive was the super friendly and helpful people working at the check in area.

Staff at front desk- very friendly. Rooms- extremely outdated. The TV sat lower than the bed? Furniture all scratched up and damaged. Very strange layout… Bathroom needs major overhaul. Hope to return, once rooms and bathrooms have been updated.

I've stayed in Courtyard hotels across the country and they are generally a fairly solid choice. This one was OK, but I've definitely seen better. The lobby seemed updated, but the guest rooms were a little past their prime. The bed was not particularly comfortable and the shower seemed to be falling out of the wall. One strength of this hotel was the staff - very friendly and service oriented. Anyone who has read my hotel reviews know that hotel gyms are a big deal to me. this one was substandard on many levels. While they had decent cardio equipment, it was clear that it has not been well maintained. Their were no mats for floor work, and the floor surface was not comfortable for that type of activity. The towels were not well stocked on either day I used the gym. The dumbbell selection was weird - there were a couple that were below 10 pounds, which were too gross to touch. From there, it skipped up to 25s and 40s and that's it. This is an area I travel to fairly frequently, so I think I'll be continuing my search for the best spot to stay.

Improvements made post pandemic! I stayed here often in 2019 and early 2020 my have noticed some improvements. The rooms seem to be fresher and a moldy smell from the past eliminated. The staff is great even though like most places they are overwhelmed but very accommodating. Definitely a go to hotel for business trips to the area.

Review for the stay during 2018 i believe - just saw this review preserved in draft folder… :) Good hotel - spacious rooms.. Highlight: staff highly professional and very good at service. Quick check in and even faster check out! But for me it’s the breakfast that gets 2 circles or points out of 5, where this hotel completely failed...hence i give a 3 star. Apart from breakfast everything is very good... especially for the price. Breakfast from bistro was ok ok...not much options to chose from...omelette was just ok.. I ended up staying in friends place in NJ, thanks to the breakfast..

We booked a block of 15 rooms through Tiffany, the hotel's sales manager. She was prompt in responding to our inquiry & offered a competitive rate ($119/night/room). The rooms were clean, well maintained, and up-to-date. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. The hotel was also spacious, with plenty of indoor and outdoor common spaces making it easy to gather while socially distancing from other guests. We also booked the hotel's meeting room ($100/function), where we catered a couple meals for our guests. Comfortable sat a group of 30-40 people with room for catered food. Location is excellent: right off route 1, quick 5-10min drive to Princeton's campus, and direct access to beautiful trails along the river that can also be used for an ~ 45min walk to Princeton's main campus. We were a bit hesitant to book based on the COVID-era reviews, but the staff were friendly and the hotel is more than up to standards.

Only my 2nd stay in a hotel since Pandemic and was looking forward to sleeping late. At 6am I woke up to loud Spanish speaking people, and figured they were students leaving early. It kept up for an hour, and I finally peaked out. Not students. It was the housekeeping staff laughing, talking on their phones, and otherwise having a grand old time. I complained to front desk, asked for the manager and was told he was on a conference call. The man I spoke to could have cared less There are many places to stay in the area, I'd avoid this one.
