We stayed at the Heldrich Hotel for three nights in April 2017. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are nice enough, certainly adequate space and well appointed. However, so many things did not go well during our stay it was noticeable. Upon check-in the front desk was inadequately staffed as there was a long line of people trying to...

I stayed here for a wedding. The staff was very friendly and the hotel looked brand new. The rooms were spacious, had coffee machines. The pillows were a bit small and crummy but otherwise extremely nice. They charge $11 per day for wifi. BUT it only covers TWO devices. That was fine 10 years ago, but I have four wifi...

We visited the hotel at the end of March and stayed 4 nights. We liked our room and the facilities. Several restaurants were within walking distance. What stood out to us was the staff......we were so impressed with them they were friendly and helpful and we had a couple of occasions where they went above and beyond in their effort...

The location is great for a visit to Rutgers, and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. My room was clean and had plenty of space. The lobby is nice, and the hotel service was good. The breakfast place in the lobby was not so great as the service was almost nonexistent, and they really could not care less. The...

Hotel staff was extremely unprofessional. They all had to finish their conversations with each other before greeting or helping my me or my husband. Several fixtures were broken in the bathroom and the walls were peeling. The valet left his phone in the cup holder of our car and we had to drive back to give it to him. Everyone...

One star for how horrible "manager" on duty handled hotel's unsanitary bed bug situation in my room (433). I've stayed here previously without any issues, but I unfortunately won't return after my last experience. For those looking to book a room at the Heldrich, be advised that any concerns you may have will probably be incorrectly handled by staff. I...

Hotel and its amenities are extremely over priced and over rated. Rooms are modest; pillows and beds are average...bathroom is less than exceptional. Having to pay exorbitant rates for internet and parking is unacceptable.

The rooms were somewhat updated and contemporary in feel. The lighting was good for work which you need for business travel, and my room had a very large desk. The bathroom was spacious and very functional but it looked dowdy; paint on the ceiling was peeling. And the shower curtains ... you may not want to touch. The heating/cooling was...

My husband and I stayed here when we were in town for an event at the Theatre. The Heldrich was located directly across the street. It was very convenient and we had a very nice stay. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area again.

Surprisingly there is not much choice of descent hotels in New Brunswick despite the presence of some large Pharma companies. The Heldrich offers acceptable accommodation if you must visit this odd place. The hotel is a bit soulless, but modern, though there was a bit of life in the lobby bar for an otherwise dead city. The rooms were clean,...

“The one and only improvement I could wish for was that they had more selection of pillows for the bed. The pillows were all hard for my taste. I'd have liked a softer pillow. Everything else was excellent.”
