This is a reasonably priced hotel with a good standard of amenities, but perhaps its biggest selling point is its location. It is close to the waterfront with its stunning views across the Hudson to Manhattan, but also within walkable distance of the many bars....More
This hotel was actually far better than I thought it would be. Our room for 5 was huge compared to what I was expecting, and the view from the room was not a brick wall. The walk to the PATH train was not far at...More

On this trip staying at the doubletree we drove into Manhattan. I previously have camped nearby at Liberty Harbor RV park and my family with teenagers walked the few blocks to the Path station. The ride under the Hudson seemed quick.....10 to 20 minutes at most. The takes you right to the World Trade Center station. I am not sure if the walk time from the doubletree to the PATH but that is easy to research. If it isn’t far then your plan is great. We walked to the mall from this Hotel and it is safe and clean. I think there is a path station there.
