The first floor of this grand hotel is devoted to one of the finer restaurants I have eaten in. Beautiful main dining is lit up from all the large windows surrounding the dining area. Service (in the form of comedian, magician, server, and bartender Michael) was exceptional. But the bottom line for this 5 star review is their food. Starting...

Stayed at a double twin bed room in the 1st floor. Very big room and very big bathroom, clean and confortable. Staff is friendly and there is a nice bar in the underground floor. Didn't try any food here so i can't evaluate, but the experience here was pretty good. The only less positive point is that the hotel is...

My sister and I stayed at the National hotel New Jersey this past weekend. What a wonderful experience! Friendly staff, great food, beautiful room with canopy beds!! Went Sand Castle winery and bridal shows a great weekend! The town is very friendly and the Early Bird coffee shop is also wonderful - I love their oatmeal cookies.

Had a wonderful lunch hosted by Mike at the bar. Interesting menu, good drink choices and old school ambience. Enjoy a day in Frenchtown and then grab lunch for great food in a nice environment. Nice place, great service, and wonderful food. Welcomes both visitors and locals which makes for a perfect combination.

My wife and I went to the National about a week and a half ago. I have to say the food and service were exceptional! Our server was a gentleman by the name of, excuse me, either (Rick, or Rich?). I don't think I have ever met someone that was willing to go that far above and beyond to make...

Stayed there on Christmas Eve, 2015. They omitted to tell us that the hotel was closed that night, with no staff working there. The staff that contacted us by phone was borderline abusive, the staff that greeted us was borderline hostile, the staff that supported us during the stay (umm, can I get a cup of coffee in the morning)...

Our room was fresh and pleasant, and the hotel itself has the charm of an old inn--established in 1833--but with modern comfort of course. The complimentary breakfast is way above average--we had homemade muffins (including "French toast muffins") and a different omelet each morning. Dinner at the restaurant was also excellent. The staff was friendly and capable. Frenchtown itself is...

I have been waiting for the chance to go and eat here. I pass by all the time and if it's nice out, people are eating outside and it's busy. Four of us went Friday and we couldn't have been happier. Ok I didn't stay at their B&B. I live in the next town over. My son and husband took me out to dinner last night for my BD. We loved it. I gave them 4 stars only because I really don't like to give 5, but it was very nice. I don't see that they advertise their restaurant or bar....
