On our way south we stopped at Congress hall. Being Christmas time, the hotel was full with Families enjoying the beautiful lights and decorations. A wonderful experience. We had both dinner and breakfast, both very good.

I'm a repeat visitor to this property. I used to have nothing but good things to say. But this time is different. We tried to cancel on the day of our check-in, as my girlfriend had a medical issue to take care of. I called and spoke with the manager, but she refused to accommodate a repeat customer, and said...

This was my first visit to Cape May over the Thanksgiving holiday. It is a lovely old hotel that has been modernized and offers all the amenities one could want. The ocean view from our room was lovely even though the weather was cold. The New York Times is at your door each morning! The Blue Pig restaurant in the...

Always wanted to stay here and got a groupon deal for a great price. Nice romantic overnight getaway. The hotel was beautifully decorated. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby in front if the fireplace. Friendly staff and not crowded or noisy this time of year. We live in nj so didn't have to go far but it was the perfect...

Our off season visit was delightful. We asked for an upgrade and we were given the best room in the house on an upper floor corner overlooking the Atlantic. Friendly, helpful staff, good food at the Blue Pig Restaurant and good entertainment in the Brown Room Tavern. Cape May Christmas lights and a tour of the Physick house made for...

I have wanted to stay at Congress Hall for several years. I own my own vacation rental property, so I never had the opportunity to stay elsewhere. During the high season, I rent my property by the week, so I seldom visit Cape May during the Summer. We have eaten at the Blue Pig Tavern (which is operated by Congress...

Our second visit to Congress Hall coincided with the 2013 Exit 0 Cape May Jazz Festival, during the second weekend in November of 2013. Our first visit was for the 2011 Cape May Jazz Festival in April of 2011. Life’s too short to deal with subpar hotels, so our return visit confirmed our satisfaction with Congress Hall. This is an...

Congress Hall is a beautiful hotel outside and in the lobby, but the rooms are a disappointment!! We have been coming to Cape May for 27 years and have seen the renovations to this beautiful hotel. But the renovations seem to have stopped on the first floor. While the room was clean and the bathroom big, the room floors are...

If you're looking for a place to stay in Cape May, you can't go wrong with Congress Hall. It is literally in the center of everything - right across from the beach and the center of town. Stepping into the hotel, you can feel the history of the building. But for a building that's nearly 200 hundred years old (sort...

I don't use the word "great" very often when discussing hotels, but Congress Hall fits the bill. Loved it! The property is old world and beautiful, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Worth the price.
