We had reserved an oceanfront 2 bedroom suite. The first room they gave us was unacceptable. Apparently, construction workers had just finished polishing the countertops. Upon entering the room, one of the workers was still in the room.......in the bathroom..........using the bathroom. Pretty gross and stinky. Also the AC did not work and the room as filthy. However, after calling the front desk to report it, they moved us to the room next door. Kristen at the front desk was awesome. This room was much better. Keep in mind that all of these rooms are privately owned units that are just managed by Cape Resorts. The oceanfront rooms are more like mini condominiums. The room we had was spacious, albeit a little outdated. But the view of the ocean was awesome. The mattress in the MBR of this specific room (215), is in dire need of replacement. My side of the bed felt like the mattress was trying to roll me onto the floor. My wife's side was fine. So after the first night, I slept in the 2nd bedroom. Much better, although not the romantic getaway we quite planned. Overall, the hotel is nice and it looks like they are investing in some property upgrades. As long as that continues and they put some updates in the rooms, it will be a nice place. We may consider returning if they make the improvements.

So I probably could never afford to spend a summer vacation here. However this little 60 hour getaway found me at this amazing location. The rooms were clean and the view was amazing. The beds were super comfy and I loved having a full fridge to store appetizers and wine. This is a must do if you’re looking for a spring or fall get away on a budget!

What a spectacular stay we had... this hotel is directly across the beach and coming here in the winter was pure magic. Upon arrival we did notice the "pool improvement project" which was kind of disappointing since the ocean view room we paid for was now directly in front of the construction. However, Meredith at the front desk was more than willing to help fix the situation. She moved us to another room that was ocean front and away from the sore sight of construction. We had an incredible two bedroom and 2 bathroom suite with a balcony directly in front of the ocean. The rooms are immaculately clean and the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and dinnerware. We did not use much of this because we went out to the amazing local restaurants but it would certainly come in handy if traveling with kids and need to whip up something on a whim. 10/10 would recommend the hotel for location, cleanliness, service, and overall comfort.

Just came back this past weekend after 3 relaxing days at the Sandpiper Beach Resort! We will definitely be back! Great location being across the street from the boardwalk and beach. A block away from Washington Sq. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Amenities are 5 star Cape Resort never to disappoint at ANY of their establishments. Consistent service, cleanliness, amenities, amazing bedding, bath and more!!! Worth the cost!

I stayed in room 104, which is one of the queen one bedroom units during the Christmas Holiday. The good to outstanding: - Quick check in, front desk was friendly and provided lots of helpful info. Hold on to this employee, she's wonderful. - Personal sized hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes in the room. Room was *very* clean. - Kitchen was exceptionally well appointed. Drip coffee maker, toaster, microwave, electric range and dishwasher. Excellent assortment of pots, sauce and baking pans, as well as cooking utensil (kitchen shears, whisk, veggie peeler, etc). Plates, flatware and glassware for 4, as well as 2 large platters. On behalf of those of us who have memories of helping mom drag 1/4 of their home kitchen on vacation, we salute you! :) - Fluffy, soft, oversized bath towels. Lovely Beach Plum Rosemary Mint shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Water pressure is good and hot water is definitely on demand. - Bed was wonderful, quality linens and cozy comforter. - Appreciate the visit from staff to make sure things were ok prior to their departure (I checked in going into the holiday). Unexpected and caught me by surprise, but was a very nice touch. Ditto for the stocking and door greenery. - Great location - a quick walk to everything. Needs improvement or useful info for TA Members: - At 9:46am on the day I checked in I received a text that stated that check in was at 4pm. I arrived in Cape May around 2:30PM, and filled the time doing some recon and sight seeing. At 3:48pm that afternoon I received a text that the office was closing at 4pm. Fortunately I was 5 minutes from the hotel at that time. An early office closing should have been conveyed to me sooner than 12 minutes before closing. - Bathroom: It's beautiful and quite large, with a modern style walk in no barrier shower. The problem? Other that the soap dish on the wall next to the faucet there's no place to put your shampoo, etc. I made it work, but a shelf is needed somewhere. Space in the sink area was tight even with my minimal toiletries. - Room location: The rooms with 04 numbers have a bedroom window that faces the elevators. This was not a problem during my stay (Christmas/winter/sparse occupancy), but I could see this being a problem in the busy months (May-Oct). - View: First floor ocean views are fine. Yes, you have to look beyond the pool, but you can easily see the beach and ocean from your room and balcony. If you require better views, book on the 2nd or 3rd floors. - What took this score to a 4: The HVAC. It's loud - terribly loud - and it's located right next to the bedroom. The second night of my stay was cold (upper 20's), and it woke me up from a sound sleep around 3am. It's 2021 - there has to be a unit available that doesn't sound like a freight train. Otherwise, my unit was cozy, even during a coastal storm the previous night. Yes, I will be booking here again. This resort works well for me and I hope I can get time off in the spring.
