For our annual getaway to celebrate our birthdays and anniversaries, our friends suggested going to Cape May and staying at the Columbia House. After reading the reviews and seeing pictures of the house, we decided to give it a try. Happily, we were not disappointed! We opted for the Turret Suite which was just perfect for two couples. Upon our... More

My family stayed in the Master Suite for the third or fourth consecutive year - I can't remember . We had stayed there years before prior to grandchildren, but now we plan on making it a tradition. Our Granddaughters love sitting on the front porch and talking to those who pass by as well as spotting the horses pulling their... More

One of my wife's favorite places (after Disney World) is Cape May and we have visited many times from Philadelphia ;settling on the usual hotels along the beach. For our 35th Anniversary I decided to change it up a little and did some research on a more special place to stay. I came across Columbia House and was immediately drawn... More

As a group of six friends, we recently stayed in the Master Suite. The rooms were so charming and everything was exceptionally clean. The rooms were spacious and the modern, fully equipped kitchen was great when we didn't want to eat out. The location is outstanding - only a few blocks from the beach and shopping. we parked in the... More

This is the perfect place in the perfect location. Our family stayed in the Parlor Suite and the Turret Suite and both were clean, well decorated and had all the necessary amenities. One block from the ocean, 2-3 blocks from the Washington Square shopping and restaurant area. Laura, the owner was very attentive and while we never needed to call... More

My Book Club decided to have a girls weekend and found the Columbia House through an online search. This was a great place to stay! Very centrally located - a couple blocks from the beach and a quick walk to the shops and restaurants. The home was beautifully done in period design but still had all the modern amenities and... Stayed in the Parlor Suite, Lovely! Owner gave a quick tour of the other suites on a summer switch out day. All were tastefully Cape May and immaculately clean! One of the BEST places to stay in season for a week or if you are lucky enough to snag a long weekend off season. An outstanding experience - owners are... More

My wife and I have just returned from another autumn stay at The Columbia House. We've always enjoyed the beautiful Victorian architecture, antiques, and character of this home. This time we were scheduled to be in the Master Bedroom for 4 nights but the owner, Laura, chose to upgrade us to the Turret Suite. This particular lodging had 2 bedrooms,... More

This is my favorite place to stay in Cape May. We always stay in the Turret Suite a the top of the house (narrow stairs - not good for people who can't do stairs!). There are two full bedrooms and two full separate baths, each has a sitting area, dressers and closets with ample hangars. The rooms feature a good... More

Five friends and I went to the Columbia House to relax, have fun and take a short vacation. We booked the Master Suite/Master Bedroom. Each of the three bedrooms was a nice size and the Master Bedroom was HUGE with its own bathroom. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses and so forth. There was a nice deck...
