We found the Bacchus Inn years ago, soon after Lisa & John purchased the properties. They have worked extremely hard over the years to improve the property but from the start have excelled in service and hospitality. With only four days in Cape May each year, we want to be guaranteed a fabulous time, and the Bacchus does not disappoint....

We stayed here because there was literally nothing else under $200! We got the attic room in the "cottage" across the street. Something like a maid's quarters, tiny room. We were happy, though, because of the free wine between 4-5 pm! At night, there were many rowdy drunk people outside until 1-2 am. We had to eat breakfast with those...

We have stayed at many B&Bs over the years, and can honestly say John is the epitome of an extraordinary innkeeper. We stayed at the Bacchus Inn for six nights. From the moment we arrived and until the minute we left, John was available to welcome and help his guests. John has a great sense of humor and a colorful...

We spent three nights here several weeks ago. What a treat. Such a friendly and casual atmosphere. Many of the guests were return customers and we could see why. John could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Everyone working at the property had a smile on their face and tried to be as helpful as possible with minor housekeeping...

Though this is overdue I had to write a review before my next upcoming trip in 5 weeks. I have stayed with John and Lisa at The Bacchus Inn 2 times within the last year and will be making a third trip down at the end of September. My first trip to The Bacchus Inn was a solo "wellness weekend"...

The owners of the Bacchus Inn are hopelessly devoid of an ounce of customer service. I wish this review could be about my stay at the Inn, but I unhappily report that my wife and I never received the opportunity. To be begin, my wife called the Inn around 9:00 pm on a Tuesday night to see if any rooms...

The Bacchus inn consists of two houses- the main house where breakfast and afternoon wine are served, and the "cottage house" right across the street. We booked the smallest cheapest room since we were only staying 3 days and just wanted a nice comfortable place to sleep. The Bacchus inn was perfect, located within a short walking distance to the...

I've found that a majority of guests at the Bacchus are repeat guests--and that's no accident. Once you stay here for a few days, you know you've found your Cape May base. The location is great--a few blocks from the ocean, and a few blocks from the Washington Street Mall. Off street parking if you're staying in one of the...

Thank you John for a very nice stay. The room was comfortable, well equipped, and clean, and the breakfasts were wonderful. The advice you gave us on restaurants and activities was spot on. The Inn is very well located and an easy walk to the beach/boardwalk and center of town.

My mom suprised me with a trip to Cape May for my 30th bday. This was my first ever B&B. I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. The room we got was AMAZING. It had its own private entrance on the back of the house, it was super clean, and just all around a great room. The owner...
