Quality remains top offering at this New Hampshire Inn. One hundred years ago, my father and his parents travelled from 1915-25 to spend summers here in what began as a farm house with food supplied by adjoining farm. 40-50 visitors would come with children to swim, boat, and play . Our recent visit finds a fabulous opportunity to eat fabulous...

Thank you, it was an unforgettable experience to meet you and discuss your father's history with the inn. He obviously loved the inn and the area. I believe this area maintains the same charm that so enamored your father.

This is a lovely old B&B right on small Kezar Lake. The owner Denis is more than accommodating, providing wonderful hot breakfasts and advice and directions to nearby site seeing. We took advantage of the free bikes to ride around the lake the second morning. With the leaves coming into full color it was wonderful. We liked our rooms and...

Thank you for your kind words. Every season is unique but it surely is hard to beat the beautiful falls. And Kezar Lake is exceptionally beautiful with the brilliant colors displayed on the surrounding mountains.

Never thought it could happen but .... a holiday hotel/inn/B&B with no gripes or even nit-picks! Owner Denis the sort of host you always hope get, but rarely do. His individualistic breakfast dishes were superbly crafted, with option of fruit or cereals if you didn't fancy it. Room: spotless, comfortable. Bathroom: all you need, with great, easy to operate shower....

Thank you for a wonderful review with no nit-picks! We do our best to make everyone's a memorable, wonderful stay and part of the charm of a stay is, as you say, the absence of TV. Of course with the WiFi guests can stream for their own convenience.

My wife and I decided last minute to find a stayover/ B and B when we attended a wedding last weekend. Denis was quick to respond to our request for a family suite. Price was reasonable. We headed to the north country and made a quick stop at the Follansbee Inn. What a beautiful facility! Located behind a white church...

Thank you for your wonderful review. We pay much attention to breakfast, always making it a treat. The donuts are something new I've been working on that have developed into a guest favorite. When you return be sure to remind me and I'll serve the praline bacon, always a guest favorite.

It was our first time staying in a B&B, and we had a lovely experience. We were in town for a wedding at the Lake Sunapee Country Club, so this was conveniently located appx 7 minutes away. The room was cozy and had some nice decorating details. Breakfast as mentioned by others was delicious. I'm following a gluten free diet,...

Thank you. Follansbee Inn is a great place for people attending a wedding at one of the many great wedding venues in the area to stay. Wedding guests can gather in the common areas then escape to the privacy of their rooms. I always try to accommodate dietary restrictions but I'm afraid the homemade donuts will never be gluten free.

It is a warm and comfortable Inn. Food is excellent. The dining room is beautiful. Bed was very comfortable and the room relaxing. Beautiful Lake. Plenty to do around the Inn. We will be going back when we can enjoy the lake. Loved our stay.

A charming casual inn on a beautiful quiet clean lake in New Hampshire. Close to New London, Lake Sunapee and many good hiking areas. Step back into a more timeless era with no room phones or tvs. Many of the rooms overlook the lake which is so calm that you can hear loons and whipporwills. Dennis Sword, the owner makes...

Thank you for your kind words, and the high praise indeed for the angel biscuits. There are so many nearby activities year round, but it's hard to beat the summer hiking followed by a cool swim in Kezar Lake.

My husband and I spent two nights here, and it was so relaxing. Denis was a great host, he provides a gourmet breakfast each morning. Our room was lovely, with views of the lake. While the Follansbee Inn is not luxurious, it is charming and clean. We were a large group and all of us were comfortable (although some of the rooms are small). The breakfasts are delicious, with offerings to please everyone. The common rooms are pleasant. Walking around the lake was a favorite activity.

Thank you for your review. Every one of the 17 rooms in Follansbee Inn are unique so one can choose based on price and room needed. The 3 mile walk around the lake is known as "the most walked 3 miles in New Hampshire" because it is such a pleasant, scenic walk.

This is a lovely old New England inn, obviously well loved by its owner - and the many return customers. My first time here, and initially I was disappointed that the water was actually across the street and the inn was at an angle to it, but that turned out not to matter. Excellent swimming. Thank you for the kind review. As you note meals are available at the old country store across the street from the inn, a store well worth a visit. If one wants a full meal restaurants are 3 miles up the road in New London.
